A great little place to stay
It was our first stay at the Esklet and we thought it was a very good quality hotel and would not hesitate to visit there again. The room was very cozy and comfortable, the location was central to all the usual Whitby sights, the English breakfast was very, very good as was the tea and coffee. All in in a really nice hotel to stay

Short stay glad to get home
lights, picture rail, tv and radio click all thick in dust. Kettle filthy therefore didn’t use. Bathroom mouldy stains. Sink and shower plug holes were full of hair. Shaver light broken and hanging off the wall. Mirror had smear in middle of it. Dated furniture and toiletries not supplied by ‘White’ as advertised on their web site. TV lost signal when moved on bracket and felt like it was about to fall off the wall. Hot breakfast was like warm. Very surprised this has a 4 star rating as felt more like a 2 star. Would not go back and would not recommend.

Would recommend .
I tried to find a fault , but could not. It may be different if you have a car as parking seems difficult.

Esklet guesthouse Whitby
The guest house says free parking which actually isn't true had to drive round to find a car park which cost £7 for 24 hours, plus shower wasn't working or small basin light in the bathroom did have a ceiling light which was dim, apart from that it was ok

Super B&B with hearty breakfast! Close to town
Super location 5 mins walk to the Cook statue / whale bone arch and another 5 minutes into town / station. Lovely breakfast and helpful host and hostess made our first visit to Whitby complete and very enjoyable
