A return to Helvetia
Good room, unfortunately some people arrive after 11pm and make a noise. Sometimes it is just the rattling of the keys. No noise from the road, with the windows shut.
patience, gbOther trip
The room was very cramped. The lift is the smallest I’ve ever been in. It stops midway between floors and exits on to a narrow spiral staircase. Very inconvenient when managing suitcases. The door slams and is impossible to close quietly.

Couple of Swells
We chose the hotel because of its closeness to the Guare de Lyon train station from which we had an early departure the following day. The check in was quick and convivial. The hotel has a small elevator accomodating two people or you can use a spiral type staircase to access the rooms. How room was of modest size but sufficient for our needs and was clean and comfortable. We did not avail ourselves of the breakfast option because of our early departure.
A Traveller, gb1 night trip
Noisy street with bars underneath hotel and alomg avenue. No air con meant ypu had to leave windpws open as it had been a very warm day. Booked for one night simply for convenience of Gare De Lyon. Cost effective in that respect. Lift so small couldnt get 2 people and large suitcases in at same time. Also had to rry amd grapple with luggage on leaving on the stairs as lift door opens outwards onto stairs

Functional, but a tight squeeze.
The hotel was clean, comfortable and functional. It was convenient for the Gare de Lyon with plenty bars and restaurants nearby. However our room was on the fifth floor accessed by a lift which was a very tight squeeze and could only just about take two of us with our suitcases. I've seen bigger telephone boxes! The alternative was a steep, spiral staircase.
