Great family getaway for Easter
Fantastic getaway location. Great hotel and amenities. We had a 2 bedroom suite for a family of 5. It was perfect. Great view of the pools from our balconies, and the apartment was well equipped with everything we needed to make small meals in. As it was Easter break, the hotel wasn't too busy.

Four Seasons is a well made, well run and very attractive resort. The surroundings are beautiful, it is in a beautiful region of Algarve and near excellent beaches and boating marinas. One would go to Vilamoura for town, shops, meals and boats. For beaches and seaside attractions, one would go to Quarteira, a lovely seaside resort nearby. We can walk to Vilamoura, but for Quarteira, use the FREE Linha Verde bus transport.

I paid for four nights in mid-November 2022 but when I checked in at the property late afternoon it seemed deserted with just one receptionist and one bar person. Having located the barman, I ordered a beer in the bar which had been recently painted and was covered in decorating sheets. I did not stay very long as the smell of paint was overwhelming. I was shown to my room which looked as though it was decorated in the 1980's and had a small TV on a side wooden table. I went back to Reception and complained immediately and was shown another room which was larger but also dated and drab. I decided to leave, checked out and headed for the Hilton Vilamoura where I had stayed a few times previously in a huge room and received excellent service. I asked the receptionist for a refund but was told that I would have to contact Expedia which I did but to date I have had no success. The company's attitude seems to be to say sorry but to take no action to resolve a customer complaint. In conclusion, please avoid this hotel as the images on the Expedia website are misleading and in my opinion the property does not deserve its 4 star rating. Overall, a very terrible experience!
