This is a great small hotel, about 18 miles inland in the mountains above the Dead Sea. You drive up to the front, you think you're in the wrong place due to some construction. But go to the back, where you enter--you've found the proverbial pearl in the oyster. This place has a collection of lovely, spacious, clean, well-designed rooms, each with something unique. My wife, my teenage daughter and I did not have a room with a view--but we had a large room with a small patio outside and a hot tub. Wonderful. You get a great view from this hotel, looking down to the Dead Sea. You get a great breakfast. You get friendly, informative, helpful people who run the place. So, okay, you're not right on the Dead Sea. It's worth it. Stay at this place. No crowds, no hassles, just a delightful, calm oasis near an oasis.
