We absolutely loved the Chateau. Food was superb. Staff really went out of their way to look after us.

Château du Colombier
When we arrived at this hotel after three hours' travel from Paris on the TGV, the place was empty, dark and there were no cars around. My husband got down to go to the front desk and the hotel door was LOCKED and we could not see anyone there. We kept knocking and calling for about ten minutes and no one answered. Then we heard a very large dog barking, we got scared and left. I told and then someone from the hotel said that she was there, that she saw us and that she thinks we saw her. If we had, we would have turned back. we had nowhere to stay that night and had to go into town to look for another hotel. The hotel refuses to return my money, I have never had such a BAD EXPERIENCE in my life. To arrive at night to a hotel out in the boonies, in a very dark and lonely place, to find it locked and empty and then have a huge dog barking like crazy at us. I insist that this person from the hotel, Carole, return our payment., as any serious and honest business person would.

Château du Colombier
Exactly as shown in photos. I would stay again.
Gorgeous chateau very close to town but feels like you're out in the country. Tricky to find at night the first time, but well worth the effort. We arrived after a long day traveling and sight seeing, around 8pm, and hadn't yet had dinner. We were delighted to find they have their own restaurant. Our delight was discovering sensational food with artistic presentation. It was a fine dining experience right in the chateau! On site management is personal and helpful and they speak English. Highly recommend!
