Fair 4.0
The worst visit in Paris I had
ordered this hotel for ridiculous overpriced rate and got a tiny room with dirty blanket and broken sink and broken shower head. The location is very far from all of the known activities. The room was a Deluxe Room with courtyard views, where we had to suffer from party noise until 2AM from one of the flats next to it. We could not sleep due to the loud music. The only advantage is the nice staff in the hotel. I was very disappointed, and this is not my first time in Paris.

Exceptional 10.0
Amazing hotel, awkward first night!
I loved my stay, I truly recommend the hotel as it’s really comfortable and modern, my room was amazing and always clean. The only thing that made my stay a bit awkward, my partner and I had a big argument with the night receptionist on our arrival. He was really rude and couldn’t answer a simple question. We arrived at the hotel at 3am and on our check in the receptionist asked us to pay a city tax, which they don’t specify with big letters on the confirmation email, so we were a bit confused when the receptionist asked us to pay it! So we asked what was it for and he was extremely rude, couldn’t explain it and was just demanding us to pay that! We couldn’t understand him, he was cursing in French and in Arabic, my partner started to get angry and argued back, we ended up asking for the manager and he told us to wait until the morning and we didn’t pay the city tax with him! In the morning we spoke to the hotel manager and he explained to us what was a city tax, and appologised for the misurderstanding and for the receptionist rudeness! After that episode we had an amazing stay! The room was always cleaned and had new bedding and toiletries everyday. It has easy access to the metro, has a good store close to it and plenty of cafes around it!!

Good 6.0
Fred Hotel needs some upgrades
The lobby and room were nice but the room had seen better days. Too much evidence of unrepaired damage. Also no bathtub plug - they suggested I go buy one down the street. No towel rack. No privacy in the bathroom - the door was glass. No ice available. And the air conditioning was pretty weak. Staff was very nice though. And otherwise the room was fine.

Very good 8.0
The hotel is very easy to find (although there are a couple of metro stops closer than Alesia, which was the one we were advised to use). All in all, it was about 25mins from Gare du Nord which is great. It’s on a quiet street with a few cafes and bars to use if you’d like a quiet evening nearby the hotel instead of venturing out in to the much busier city centre. It’s also quick and easy to get to other places as you’re only ever a few minutes away from a metro stop. The check-in was quick and simple but be aware that you have to pay an additional “city tax” per person which wasn’t added on when we booked/paid for the room in the first instance. If you're aware of that already, it's fine but it caught us by surprise. The hotel is very clean and comfortable. It’s dimly lit even at night time so be aware of where you are walking. The rooms have everything you need for a short stay. The bed was small but very comfortable. The Nespresso machine was a nice touch as well. The rainfall shower was amazing! I made full use of that!! Full length mirrors are handy but we could have used a few more well-placed plug sockets just for hairdryers/straighteners/phones etc. A couple of issues though: more towels would be great; and the wardrobe space isn’t too big especially with two of you sharing. Once you hang up your coats and deal with your suitcases, you don’t have a lot of space left. There’s no drawer space either unfortunately. All in all, though, I’m glad we found this hotel.

Deluxe room for 3 people
We booked deluxe room for 3 people and stayed 3 nights. The hotel is close to metro 13 and it takes half hour to Lafayette and Louvre. The shower head was not good and sprayed water everywhere. This was very inconvenient. Also we recommend to provide Wifi info proactively upon check in. The room is comfortable and reception is very friendly.
