Perfect stay in New Orleans
We stayed in the Desire Suite in the wonderful Blue60 Guest House for five nights, including Halloween. We cannot fault the property in any way at all. We wanted to have a feel for the 'real' New Orleans and we certainly got that in this lovely guest house. It is situated in a more residential area, so it is much quieter than the French Quarter, but there are plenty of bars/restaurants/music venues etc close by. We could walk to the French Quarter in ten minutes and the riverside in 15. Joshua, the owner, is as helpful as he could possibly be and is a wonderful host. For him and Will, the manager, nothing is too much trouble and they take care with every little detail to ensure guests have the best stay they possibly can. The suite was large, the bed was really comfortable and the coffee maker, kettle, fridge and microwave make life easier if you don't want to eat out all of the time. Bottled water is provided and there is a supermarket over the road for any provisions you may need. We cannot imagine anywhere better to stay in New Orleans and recommend it without reservation.

Quaint and comfortable
I cannot say enough about this quaint little place. My best friend and I had a great time. As we looked for a place with 2 beds, a small refrigerator and microwave and this was perfect. We had our own secure entrance and very comfortable. Our room had the old wooden floors that gave such wonderful ambience to our room. Will, the manager would text or call me to see if we needed anything and when we had questions they were quick to respond. We did not have the rooms next to the street (where you could possibly really hear the street noise), but if we did it would have been fine. We parked on the street and walked pretty much everywhere. I would for sure stay here again.

Wow. If you don't stay here, you've missed out.
Where do I even start? In the middle of the COVID shut down and his own drive across country to take care of his mother, Joshua kept the guest house open for our house hunting trip. Will was there to greet us and I felt like I was staying at a friend's house. This is not a Hyatt or Hilton (thank goodness), so if you want cookie-cutter rooms with no character, this place is not for you. There is a secured gate that leads into a mini-Eden replete with five separate seating areas with hanging swings, tables, chairs, outdoor couches, and an amazing hot tub. Colette, the sweet polydactyly Russian blue calico, greets you and walks with you to your room, which is also secured with a numerical lock. I can only comment on our room, since each is one is different and special. We had the Deluxe suite that has two separate rooms and a sweet bathroom that makes you feel like you are showering outdoors. The bathroom includes lots of towels, a blow dryer, shampoo and conditioner, and shaving/makeup mirror. The living room couch is actually a really comfortable day bed with another trundle underneath, coffee maker with coffee and accoutrements, dishes, a small fridge, and microwave. The bedroom is super spacious with a king bed, real closet with iron and board, dressing table, and antique cabinet full of extra cozy blankets. There are at least a half a dozen lamps, two large new smartTVs with cable, and the most amazing photography by the owner in the vein of Arbus and Maier.

Joshua was very friendly and replied quickly anytime I had questions! The room was clean and big enough for me and my 2 friends to stay. Would highly recommend to others for a safe convenient room to all of the main tourist attractions!

I stayed here during Mardi Gras. I was concerned about distance but it's super close to Frenchman Street and a short walk to the French Quarter. The area is very artistic and has lots of shops and restaurants. Grocery store across the street was super convenient and well stocked. We were a group of four women and felt safe walking around the area at night. All of the staff were welcoming and warm. I stayed in the Porch Suite. There were four of us. Two slept in the large bed and two of us on the bed couch/trundle. The room was clean and decorated with cool art and charming antiques. The bathroom was stocked with soap, makeup cleansing wipes and lots of little extras. The courtyard is very lush and feels private. I didn't see another guest the whole time I was there. I called and was able to leave my luggage until check in time. Joshua gave us lots of great info about the area and there was a binder with lots of useful information. I would definitely stay there again.

New Orleans Blue60
The place, the host, the location, everything is awesome about this place. Will made us feel welcome during our stay. He made sure we were comfortable with everything and answered all of our questions before leaving us. Oh! and he even responds quick to texts as well. The location was perfect and close to everything! It was far enough that you don't get all the loud music and close enough that you can still walk home late at night. It was walking distance to the French Market and Bourbon Street where we spent most of our time. Unfortunately the Rampart streetcar was down during our stay, and Thank goodness Will mentioned that to me. But if that were to be running, that is another great way to get around for cheap. We did end up using alot of Uber but the cost was so low since we were only going 10-15 mins..... We had a wonderful time & stay in New Orleans!

They thought of everything!
Fantastic! All the comforts of home (that big hotel chains never provide) packed into one stylish and cozy room. We wanted for nothing. The location was great for us. The farthest places we wanted to go were a 20 min walk (would have been a cheap trolley ride, but sadly it was not running while we were there due to the tragic crane accident) but there were so many great places around that were just a 5 minute walk. As for the hotel, we stayed in the Magnolia room, which is right next to the hot tub, so bring a bathing suite if you'd like to enjoy! The bed was lush and comfy with all the blankets we could want. There was a ceiling fan and an in-room AC unit which kept everything temperate. We also enjoyed the beautiful antique bar stocked with cutlery, bottle openers, mugs, wine glasses, bowls, plates, a microwave, electric kettle and awesome tea selection. The environmentally friendly Ninja single-serve coffee maker also makes a fantastic cup-a-joe! I only have 500 characters left, so I'd like to also highlight the claw-foot soaking tub, the mini-fridge, make-up remover wipes (very useful for our Halloween visit), and umbrellas (it rained for the first 2 days and our tiny Dollar Tree umbrellas weren't hackin' it). Joshua was there to greet us and made sure to check in to see if we needed anything refreshed (towels and such). He was even gracious enough to let us store our bags in his apartment after check out. So accommodating! So lovely! Can't wait to go back!
