The African Regent Hotel
"We were treated with the upmost hospitality, and the staff was very accommodating."
La Villa Boutique Hotel
"Very helpful and pleasant staff, room was spacious with good aircon. Breakfast nice with various options. Location is good, close to airport, brilliant restaurants a short walk away and shops too"
Mövenpick Ambassador Hotel Accra
"It was very expensive for what was offered. The first room they offered me was mildewed and dirty. The second room at least didn’t have a horrible stench but was just so-so. For 400 a night I was expecting better service. Check in was slow and my daughter and I were the only people using the pool and they still wouldn’t give us an extra towel when we asked. Also- I had a notarized note to be able to travel with my daughter solo because my spouse had to work. The hotel still wanted a letter specific for their hotel and a copy of her birth certificate. I had never heard of that but they originally said there was no way we could stay on the property and they wanted to send us away at 7 o’clock to try and find a new place. This is after having booked a room at 400 USD a night for 5 nights. So overall my experience wasn’t great but my daughter loved the pool and the breakfast buffet was nice and the service there was excellent."
Accra Luxury Apartments at The Lennox
"The host was great with the check process"
Labadi Beach Hotel
"Staff was very kind and accommodating. Rooms and facilities were a little worn down. Food was ok."
Number One Oxford Street Hotel & Suites
"Very nice staff."

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Accra
- Book for the cheapest times: The most budget-friendly months to visit Accra are March, October, and November, when hotel prices tend to be lower. For a comprehensive experience of the city's key landmarks, cultural sites, and historical attractions, a stay of at least 4 to 5 days is recommended. This timeframe allows visitors to immerse themselves in the vibrant culture, enjoy local dancing, savour coffee at charming cafes, listen to live music, shop for unique souvenirs, and explore significant sites such as castles and museums, including UNESCO World Heritage sites. Travelling during these months offers great value for money while providing ample opportunities for sightseeing and entertainment.
- Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To discover last-minute deals to Accra, visit the DealsOpens in a new window or Last-Minute DealsOpens in a new window sections on Hotels.com, where you may find discounted hotel rates as your travel date approaches. Consider enabling email alerts or push notifications to stay updated on flash sales and special promotions, ensuring you don’t miss potential savings. Additionally, Smart ShoppingOpens in a new window is a comparison tool available via the app that helps you evaluate hotel prices and amenities. This way, if prices drop or rooms become available, you could be among the first to book your ideal last-minute getaway.
- Be flexible with dates: Prices may fluctuate depending on various factors, including the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year. Therefore, having some flexibility with your travel dates could help you find a more favourable rate for your stay in an Accra hotel. If you’re interested in a distinctive experience, boutique hotels often provide a more personalised touch and may offer better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we’ll inform you whether the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. Should the price be on the higher side, we can suggest alternative dates that may help you discover a more appealing option.
- Consider your location: Hotels situated near the city centre usually tend to be more expensive; however, with Accra's superb public transport connections, you may discover a more affordable independent hotel located a bit farther out that remains well connected. For those keen on exploring alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there is often excellent value to be found. Opting for these alternative destinations could provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
