Hotels in Matulji

We did not get a response from the property when we messaged about early parking. Check in was easy and staffed from 16:00-22:00 when we arrived (June 2026).

Great hotel with great sea views.

Fabulous hotel. The staff were wonderful (especially Harry, the Front Desk Manager who is a credit to the hotel). The room was exceptional with a view to die for, the bed was comfortable, the shower first class. The breakfast was something else with the vast choice. When in Opatija don’t stay anywhere else!

This is our seventh year back at this hotel. The hotel has changed ownership, and some changes have taken place. Unfortunately, not for the better. First, parking is now a paid service. 20 euros per day is a significant increase in the cost of a vacation, especially if you're staying for a week or more. This is really an amazing place. The room was outstanding. The staff was very helpful to give us a lift to the hotel from Kastav and back (the entrance gate was to narrow for our van besides it was heavy raining when departing).

I cannot rate this place highly enough. Katya was so helpful, even delivering us an infant cot late in the evening. The pool was beautiful and clean. The view was amazing.

Excellent hotel. We arrived a bit late but Mary went above and beyond to help us check in. Modern rooms and all of the staff were fantastic.

Lovely hotel close to the centre of Opatija. Room was big and clean with a fantastic sea view. Breakfast and evening meals were both buffet affairs but a huge selection and good quality. Facilities are good too with an indoor pool, sauna, small gym etc. Great location and lovely to be able to walk along the Lungomare to either Volosko or Lovran. It's apparently recently been downgraded from a 4* to a 3* hotel, but we didn't see why, it felt 4* to us. Loved Opatija overall too, a great stay

Located right at the start of the Jadranska Mgistrala, this is a great place to start a trip on the iconic road. The rooms are basic, befitting of the communist era building, which retains its original charm. Lovely breakfast included. Staff all very good. I would stay here again.

It has been one of the best budget hotels we have stayed at. Clean, friendly, efficient, variety of food choices (tasty) and picturesque. Surrounding area was beautiful and great links to island trips, local cities and other towns. Night life buzzing, with some lovely restaurants, bars and ice cream parlours!!! Would definatly recommend!
