Wedding anniversary.
We mentioned at check in it was our golden wedding anniversary. When we entered the room there was a beautiful bunch of celebration balloons waiting for us. Brilliant.

Last minute booking
Was a great last minute booking. Can't fault the pool and sauna. Staff very helpful and friendly. Comfortable room with sea view. I can understand when some reviewers stated that the decor etc was in need of improvement but it's not that bad at all. We would have used the spa as the prices were very reasonable but it was fully booked. It's a very family friendly hotel with lots going on for children. Breakfast was self service and very nice.

Noisy, lacks discipline, basic
Hotel is tired, tatty in places. A superb hotel if you are a family consisting of very young children, although parent let many run wild which is a shame. Exceptionally noisy as a consequence. Food lacks the quality you’d like. Disappointed to see chef plonking scrambled egg on top Of old serving at self service counter. Needs some better management to tidy up the fringes of this hotel I’m afraid.

Dissapointed
We were given room 68 it smelled of damp was below ground level and not clean. We were given room 24 in the hotel and whilst it was'nt damp it wasn't clean either. Both rooms needed painted with scruffy carpet and marked walls. The radiator was full of dust. The hoover either doesnt work properly or they were'nt actually hoovered. At £149 I think this is unacceptable..Neither room bore any resemblance to those on the website. We were told that those were the renovated rooms! Toiletries are available for an extra charge and pool towels require a refundable deposit incredible at those prices.Reviews seem to differ greatly but a theme re occurs where management keeps saying that people only need to ask them to be moved but the point is these rooms are not acceptable and should not be allocated in the first place unless told about them or at a reduced rate. The owner was in a meeting for the afternoon when we checked in.The public rooms are nice and breakfast was fine. This hotel caters well for kids (we had two with us) so well done there. It's close to the beach and shops and restaurants. Renovation work is going on but the middle of the summer seems a poor time to do it.
