I recently stayed at the Anchor Inn and had a fantastic experience. The accommodation was exceptionally clean, stylish, and beautifully presented throughout. The bed was extremely comfortable, which made for a great night's sleep. Breakfast was delicious, with high-quality food and plenty to enjoy, even allowing for my gluten intolerance. The location is stunning, offering beautiful surroundings while still being easy to access. The staff are really friendly too. Overall, it was a very relaxing and enjoyable stay, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others. I'll definitely be booking again the next time I need to stay in the area.

Lovely room (Derwent!) My second stay but had this room both times and it’s my favourite room already. Sizeable room, spotlessly clean. Staff are great, with nothing too much trouble. Food is great. Large portions of well prepared and delicious food. Breakfast is great too. Great location for exploring the local area

Nice spacious and very clean room. Well facilitated with a tea tray and bottles of water. Room was immensely hot but thankfully able to open all the windows. Liked fresh cooked breakfast (as opposed to usual buffets) however I would love to see a better drinkable coffee being served and a little gripe - after requesting hard poached egg with no ‘snot’ my egg was totally snotty when I cut it and ran into my breakfast so didn’t eat much. But all in all a very pleasant stay and reasonable value for money and would return.
