Off The Rails
This is a below-average motel with shoddy fittings and little in the way of guest services. There are no staff available between 9pm-7am so any problems during that period and you have to hope someone answers the mobile hotline number they give you. Whilst the timber reception area and restaurant annex possess much character, the same cannot be said for the staff themselves, who seem more interested in their body art than running an efficient service. At over $200 for one night, this can’t be classed as cheap in a financial sense, so we quite rightly expected more at this price. No breakfast included (unless you are prepared to pay an additional $9 per head), no ice, faulty lamps, dark rooms, dirty floors, wardrobe/hairdryer/percolator strangely located within the bathroom, no light fitting in shower, dirty metal bed frames, rubbish in drawers, pervasive urine smell and noisy extractor fans are just a few of the reasons why you should choose to stay elsewhere. Grotty and seriously overpriced, it is not possible to recommend this ‘inn’.

Disappointing, would not return or recommend
Not as advertised. Very disappointing. Reception was lethargic, we felt as a disturbance far from welcome after a long and tiring trip with the children. Cleaning was not included at $850 for 2 nights in a run down lodge. No WiFi. No 2 similar pieces of cutlery in the derelict kitchen. But the sight is nice and convient near Yosemite park Fish Camp entrance.

Where not to stay.
Not quite as described, access to the room was poor, on arrival the room had not been cleaned properly. The air con consisted of a fan which stopped working if you put out the light. A room fridge would have been beneficial in those tempratures. Considering the cost of the rooms were not cheap, it was poor value for money. Needless to say we left after 2 days of our 4 day booking.
