Car wash not included!
We stayed for one night in the middle of our visit to Yellowstone National Park. Firstly, be aware that the map from Hotels.com showed that it was very close to the west entrance to the park. We eventually found the camp site entrance approx. 4 miles outside of West Yellowstone town. Then you will find a dusty track, you will need to follow this more than a mile before you come to the actual campsite. Be aware that your car will be filthy after entering this site! Check in is a bit haphazard, it seems like it is run by students. The tent itself was very large with a comfy double bed and other furniture inside. There is a wood burner, be prepared to use this as the temperature really drops during the night even though it was 35c during the day in late June. Overall it was an experience but if I was to visit the area again I would look earlier and book a proper hotel in West Yellowstone.

Yellowstone Under Canvas is perfect for experiencing the nature of camping in Yellowstone but with the ease of some home comforts and having all your equipment provided. Slightly more difficult if you don't have your own car!

Glamping as it should be
A lovely way to spend a couple of days at Yellowstone... 10 mins drive from the West entrance this was a quirky place to stay. The beds are epic... Amazing sheets... And when you're freezing your what-nots off in the morning, you really appreciate it. Having use of the lodge for a swim and spa with the Montana hills backdrop really added to the stay.

A couple glitches, but worked through quickly.
Hotels.com did not provide Under Canvas with the correct information, so our reservation for a 'Deluxe' was not correct. However, the Under Canvas staff quickly remedied this by getting a 'Deluxe' ready for us with all the comforts we had reserved and paid for. Great customer experience! We had an issue with the wood burning stove on our first night, but again the staff stepped up and repaired and replaced what needed to be done and ensured everything was in order for us. We did not realize there wouldn't be electricity (our bad) but we were provided with a battery and adapter for a necessary piece of medical equipment.

First Class Camping Under the Stars
We are on a two week vacation and it will be hard to beat our stay at Under Canvas Yellowstone! It is one of those things you simply must try. The staff is very responsive, "at your service", and yet laid back. They love what they do and enjoy sharing the experience with you. Perfect setting nestled in a valley with mountains as a backdrop and a river running along side the grounds. If there was a down-side, and I don't want this to be a negative, it was keeping the fire in our tent going all night. We came in early June so temps were in the high 30's or low 40's. Just be prepared but also know that the staff will give you help and an extra blanket.
