Exceptional 10.0
Very comfortable stay in contemporary hotel.
Modern, spotlessly clean, quiet and very comfortable hotel, just minutes away from Moor St Station. Really happy with everything. Breakfast really good. This was our first hotel stay since lockdown was relaxed and we felt very safe and assured staying at the Clayton Hotel. We had a perfect night's sleep in the very comfortable bed and were pleasantly surprised how quiet it was.

Convenient and luxurious
Lovely friendly staff on reception, upon arrival the system was down so we were given some free drinks and also a room upgrade for the trouble, with wine, chocolates and an extra big bath tub in the room! Can’t wait to stay here again when I’m back in Birmingham loved it!

Good 6.0
The hotel was nice but I must say I was expecting more for the price. The room was modern and the beds were comfortable. I would describe the room as quite basic. Only one small bottle of shampoo and shower gel (in a room for 3), one tea bag each, no mini fridge, no robes or slippers. There was a fair amount of dust visible on soft furnishings and a bit of a stain in the toilet. The beds were very comfortable but only one pillow each with no spare ones in the cupboard. The shower wasn’t very hot. The stay was FINE but definitely not luxury like the price suggested. There was also a party going on in the room next door to ours at midnight. We had to phone down to reception twice to ask them to deal with it, they were very polite on the phone but the party didn’t quiet down until those people went out for the night! I was disappointed overall but the staff were very friendly and courteous. It has good potential and I see that they are doing work on it so maybe it will be better in the future.

Very good 8.0
Very good all round stay!
It’s a nice hotel. My first time at this hotel. The reception staff delivered excellent customer service. Food is good and the bar is small but intimate. The parking is a short walk away and is safe and secure. That is the only reason why I didn’t give it excellent, because getting to the car was problematic, particularly because of the bad weather ... Overall we had a good experience.
