5 stars/great staff/better online description.
Really pleased with our selection and was in fact much better than the online description, it also reaffirmed the fact that the friendliness and attitude of the staff is really the single most important element with most venues. We went to Carfest and we were really struggling to get a taxi back to the hotel so I rang and asked if the hotel could source a taxi, Chris said don`t worry I will come and get you which he did within 15 minutes along with Maddie whose car they used. So 10 out of 10 and we will be going back. Wayne and Rachel Cooper

Lovely countryside
Ideally suited for a walking break due to many marked footpaths and accessible countryside. Very comfortable, great food. Plenty of places to visit further afield but we went for the immediate countryside walks. Room 'tabley' has a secret roof top space not overlooked.

We really enjoyed our stay at The Pheasant Inn the only very minor niggle being the cleanliness of the Tapley Room, cobwebs on the windows and lamp shades but overall the room/bathroom were clean and tidy and nothing that would prevent us from staying again. We found all staff to me very pleasant, attentive and helpful. We needed a taxi to take us a short journey to a wedding reception; the poor girl in the reception/restaurant area had had my note requesting this for weeks (since our previous visit for a meal) and bless her she came up trumps, so our thanks and very well done to her for remembering. We'll be coming again to enjoy the good food and lovely views in the not too distant future.

Fabulous except for the shower!
Dripping shower in the night ruined a good night's sleep, it sounded like loud hammering on the metal bath & had to get up twice to try to stop it. Reception said new shower heads had just been fitted & thanked us for telling them! Shower temperature very difficult to control and the hot water was scalding hot. Expected better for the room rate to be honest. Restaurant & bar staff were lovely & very helpful, couldn't fault the food.

Our Experience
The location of the Pheasant Inn is outstanding. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The menu is comprehensive and the food is cooked to perfection very well presented and all very fresh. Unfortunately our standard double room was small and we found dark with no view from the one window. But the main disappointment and reason we would not stay here again was being woken on a Sunday morning before 0600 with delivery of food produce with a very noisy inconsiderate driver. I made my concerns known to management and an apology was given.Having booked a peaceful retreat it ruined the break. You could stay in the center of Manchester and have a more tranquil experience.
