The bedding in the room was first class but, like so many properties in the Victoria area, the décor generally upstairs, including carpets, was rather dated. However, good value for what it was for a short stay

Poor 2.0
Would not recommend, very basic and noisy
The location of the hotel is good for Pimlico, and the continental breakfast is one of the best I have seen in a 3 star hotel in this area. But that’s where the compliments end. The rooms are incredibly small without any soundproofing. I could hear my neighbours on the toilet, in the shower, on the phone and watching TV. I actually left one night early as only got four hours sleep on the first night as I was kept awake by someone watching TV past midnight and was then woken up by someone going to the toilet and on the phone at 0420. There is no luggage storage room which is very odd for a hotel. You can leave your bags at reception on the first floor but that is only open between 0900-2200. There is no lift and no-one to help carry your bags as the staff (all three that I saw) are petite ladies. Their offer to help carry my 32kg suitcase up four flights of stairs was not a good suggestion for health and safety reasons. I moved out of the hotel one night early due to noise. I explained this decision very calmly to the receptionist and have not requested a refund for noise disturbance. I have since received a series of unprofessional messages from the hotel with lies attached about the size of my case, my manner, claiming I am wing dishonest about the noise disturbance, my expectations etc. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel. I have stayed at a dozen similar hotels in the Pimlico area and all were better than the Blades.

Exceptional 10.0
Lovely small and high class hotel in Pimlico
Blades Hotel is superb. Antonella manages it, and does so with great care and kindness......highly recommended.. Peter

Exceptional 10.0
Perfect out of City stay
The hotel is out of the city but only 10 mins on the underground on the Victoria line from Euston. Pimlico is a lovely little town, it feels safe and quiet. The hotel is central to shops and more importantly underground station. The staff are warm and friendly and the rooms clean and comfortable if one small criticism not enough wardrobe space. Second time we have stayed here and God willing we can return next year, then we will certainly stay here again
