Not the best
Comfortable well sized room but all of the surfaces were covered in dust. There was no choice of breakfast and no wifi as advertised.

Great location
On arrival did not feel welcome, no introduction or conversation. Taken to room and given key, perhaps we arrived at an inconvenient time! Room was BASIC but ok. Shower room was very small, low water pressure creating uncontrollable temperature, probably depends on number of guests using at the same time. Poor Wifi on top floor, comes and goes. Breakfast was good. Parking can be difficult but as expected for location and reviews read before booking.

Excellent4.0 / 5
We managed to get the last room available and we were pleasantly surprised to stay on the top floor in a room with a skylight! Though a tad small, the room had several electrical wall outlets to charge up all our devices. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was good. We enjoyed the full English breakfast in the morning, the proximity to the town and the walk around the beautiful lake. Our experience at Keswick was especially wonderful, when a friendly local we met on our arrival, went out of his way to show us the easiest way to get around too.

Fairly standard B&B
While accommodation was fine, it lacks the personal touch other B&Bs in Keswick have.

Ok well-located b&b, owner a bit awkward with us
The b&b is well located in keswick. The room and breakfast area were clean and tidy. The use of heating, especially outside the rooms, was at the lower end of sufficient. It was, however, very cold for the time of year during our stay. The owner was unable to recommend a place to eat, and instead offered us a brochure on keswick. The owner also knocked on the door not long after our arrival to ask us to turn off the light in the bathroom as the extractor fan apparently makes a lot of noise disturbing other guests. We already knew this as a sign is stuck next to the bathroom, but did both still need to use the light to shower. This was a bit inconvenient as we were still not dressed from showering. The owner also appeared at 10:05 at our room when we were leaving and asked if she could have the key. In fairness, check out was 10:00 so she was within her rights to do so. This did cement my impression that our satisfaction was not the highest priority though. Nothing terrible, and certainly not malicious, but I've definitely stayed in better b&bs where i have been made to feel more looked after.
