What you'd expect for Four Seasons
Great room overlooking city - love the panaromic view from bathroom - the bed was super comfy wth beautiful products, a little tired in places but overall star

Very good hotel in the diplomatic district
The ground floor has a somewhat strange layout which can be a bit confusing but the hotel is excellent and service impeccable. However, do not expect to be able to connect to the internet as you would in other places. Many services are intermittently blocked such as any google application (including gmail). This can be frustrating if you are on business!

Wonderful stay
Comfortable, quiet, well appointed room. Impeccable service with fantastic attention to detail. The staff would remember names and details from previous conversations, nothing was too much trouble; most spoken excellent English. Spa was wonderful. Good selection for breakfast.

Exceptional
I have stayed at a lot of good hotels in my life. But this Four Seasons is exceptional. I have never experienced a hotel where there are as much customer focus and communication between all different departments. The whole stay was seamless and every single employee I met seemed focused on delivering the best service possible, but also with the most whole hearten passion to do so. I recommend to have the hotel arrange for your transport arrangements from the airport - they have a really impressive service where they pick you up at the gate. Makes the arrival go much easier. Only negative is not the hotel itself but that it is somewhat of a distance from the major tourist attractions, but its close to the airport which with Beijing traffic is a big plus.

The best service anywhere in the world
The hotel is what one would expect of a Four Seasons, great rooms and good technology. What sets this hotel apart is the service that we experienced on two stays over the past month. The concierge desk under the eye of Peter Tang was the best that I have experienced anywhere. From their rapid and accurate responses to emails, to making reservations for us at tough spots to get into, to getting us cars whenever and where ever we need, they never missed a beat. They even went so far as to secure a reservation with a personal credit card because we were not there when they made it. They were informative and offered great suggestions. Also the influence stretched far. In Xi'an the concierge at the hotel we checked into told us that they had been in touch with him too. Just a wonderful team of people who made our stays perfect. The rooms were very comfortable and the showers were really good rain heads. Also there was a steady supply of fresh fruit that was appreciated on a hot day walking around. The breakfast buffet was a standard luxury hotel spread, but the fruit juices were all freshly squeezed and cold. The location is fine, but the truth is that Beijing is so big and spread out that you are never close to everything. There is a subway across the street so it is worth using because it avoids the traffic jams.
