Comfort and Sea Views
A small hotel in an excellent location overlooking the sea and around 10 minute walk to the centre of Brighton with numerous cafes and small shops very close by in Kemptown. Comfortable bed, clean room with very good levels of service, a clean bathroom including excellent products and although the shower wasn’t very powerful, it was hot. Breakfasts were so-so, but reasonably priced. The hotel is nice but could arguably benefit from a little bit of updating. The staff are very welcoming, hospitable and helpful.

Ground floor buzz-kill in Brighton
My partner and I stayed at this hotel for a 3 nights. Location wise, this hotel is great, as it's right on the beach front. Parking was £15 a day, which seemed quite expensive, but it saved the hassle of finding somewhere nearby. Service at the hotel was lovely and check in was quick. We had a double room on the Ground Floor. We didn't have any phone service on our mobiles (on different networks). There was free wifi, but that was a very low signal, which meant we couldn't do any work, or social media. The bed was a double, but there were 2 pillows each - 1 was a super-size which was really hard and high raised, the other was smaller than average and super-soft, which your head sunk in to/offered no support. We had terrible back and neck ache after the 3 nights. There were 2 large window, but they were frosted. This reduced the daylight in the room (and also meant we had no idea what the weather was doing outside!). The window only opened slightly and we could just see a concrete messy garden. The hairdryer blew up/fused, and so did the second one (the third one worked though!). We didn't get much sleep as you can hear everything outside - the room was right next to/under the stairs, so we heard everyone go up and down, as well as the room being next to the storage/cleaning cupboard. The whole bathroom was a wet room, instead of having a separate shower, so everywhere got soaked, including the toilet and sink top (so we had to take everything out before showering).
