Excellent Stay, Excellent Location
We arrive at the hotel at 9am, and the reception staff offers us free access to their Spa area before we leave the hotel but we prefer to go and get breakfast. They call us at around 12:30pm as the room is ready and it is efficient and gives us a time to refresh after a long flight. We stay at Hotel Cafe Royal for 4 nights, and we are so lucky to be upgraded to a Junior Suite due to a possible leakage near the window area. The reception responses quickly to address the issue. and assists us to move to our new room. The room is very spacious, and it look neat and refreshing with all the amenities provided. Love their bathtub which is so deep and spacious and can put two of us in to enjoy some moment of romance. We are surprised by their lifts which look classy yet chic. The way the lift opens the doors is quite interesting. A pity we don't have a chance to try their swimming pool and spa, I believe that must be a great experience. There is room for improvement for their billing system as their computer system mis-charged our room, it takes some time for the reception team to find out, and they cancel the charge after knowing they link the bill to another room. Overall we enjoy our stay a lot, and would definitely come back to this hotel, given its excellent location near Piccadilly Circus, and nearby there's St. James Park which gives us a public space to jog and exercise.

Exceptional 10.0
The best hotel experience - Ever
As a guest we live in London (only 5 miles away) but stay in London hotels for 'special experiances' anniversaries, birthdays etc. We have stayed in many but Cafe Royal really outdid our expectations; it was truly exceptional. As a guest your made to feel incredibly special. All of the staff you have are a credit to the Hotel. The fine touches in the room were amazing, and we hugely appreciated the care and attention. Without doubt it was the best experience we have had of any London Hotel. The room was wonderful. We find it hard to find hotels with a contemporary feel which goes beyond the bog-standard mass market 'contemporary' look (Bvlgari) or the 'cute contemporary' like Ham Yard. Our room at Cafe Royal was ultimate luxury for us. Beautifully designed, well detailed from the interior to the furniture, superb amazing bathrooms and the perfect most relaxing room we have been in an Urban City Centre setting. The Spa was outstanding, the room was and the comfort and luxury just unique! GO!

Poor 2.0
"Grand Superior Room" not grand at all, too small
Specifically chose Grand Superior because I am picky about my hotel room space and this was supposed to be a 35sqm room. The room assigned to us had a large beam that took up a big space, and worsened what was already an odd shaped room that was much much smaller than presented in the website. The room could barely fit a table, only a small round table, not even a decent work table to work on a computer. Night tables were so impractical, nothing could fit except the phone and a notepad. I stayed there ten days and yet hotel staff could not change my room to a better one in all that time, claiming they were booked solid for London Fashion Week. So I paid a lot of money for a room that was definitely much smaller than advertised. Also, housekeeping did not clean the carpets well they were uncleaned several days. The best thing about this hotel is its excellent location but sometimes that is not enough.

Very good 8.0
We were on the last leg of a week's worth of a trip with our grandson, and we had activities planned upon our arrival. The hotel is gracious and the staff is kind, but our room was not ready when we arrived at 3:30PM., which I found surprising. No extra bed for the grandson. No view. The worst part? No mirror for grooming one's hair. Typically the bathroom outlets do not support hair dryers or curling irons, so I know I'll have to use an outlet in the bedroom or dressing room, but so help me hannah, I do expect there to be a mirror in the room for fixing my hair. Unacceptable!!

Exceptional 10.0
The most central location to everything London!
The hotel was beautiful and the service was impeccable. We couldn’t have picked a better location to be. Piccadilly Circus is literally just outside the door, along with world class shopping on Regent Street. Plenty of pubs and restaurants within walking distance. If I had one negative thing to say, it would be the lighting in the room/bathroom. It was very easy on the eyes, but not practical for when the wife needed to put her makeup on. The nicest part of the room was the blackout blinds. We arrived in London in the morning and were exhausted. So, we shut the shades to take a quick nap and it was pitch dark. I would highly recommend this hotel!
