OK but with issues
Our hotel stay was good for the most part. Very clean and the staff friendly and professional. Where it came short is on their food service. I called in to place an order expecting room service. The agent took my call and confirmed the order. I was then expecting the food to be delivered to the room. Turns out, I had to go downstairs to pick it up. I was never told that when I placed the order, so it caught me by surprise. Then, I asked to have them bill the room number. They said that was not possible and I had to pay on the spot. I did not bring my wallet with me. So I had to go back up to the room, get my wallet, come back down a 2nd time, then pay, and finally take the food tray up to our room. The whole thing was awkward and inconvenient. I wish I would have been told about these particular logistics ahead of time. This could have been handled during the check in process. Regardless, the food was great, tasty, fresh and it hit the spot. Unfortunately, there was an additional issue with the noise in the room. Every time someone used the lavatory and opened the faucet or flushed the toilet, there were these loud noises coming from inside the walls, very loud, very disturbing. It woke us up several times during the night. This made the whole stay a disappointing experience.

Bad noise from aircon/ hard pillows/basic decor
Stayed for a couple of nights here as my husband had a meeting in the area. The hotel was the closest and most reasonably priced. The photos and review looked good so we booked online. Checking in was fast and easy and took about a minute. Was given 3 choices of standard rooms on different floors and we chose one on the 12th floor. The room was a good size and had a desk suitable for working on a laptop if you wanted to. There was a kettle and tea/coffee/milk. There was no fridge. The bed had clean white bedding and pillowcases on but no cushions or other covers. There are no paintings or anything on the plain wall so the overall look is very clinical.there were 2 windows giving good views, one las far as the London eye. Unfortunately the curtains on these windows are too small for the windows and one end had even come off the rail. There were 2 pillows on the bed and one miserable spare pillow in the wardrobe and they were all very hard and uncomfortable. The bathroom is a pod type bathroom, very clean, white and clinical. Shower was nice and not too bad a size. The worse thing about this room was the sound/ noise from the air conditioning and plumbing. The air conditioning, even when off produces a loud engine like noise every hour or so, thus waking us up through the night. If someone else flushes their toilet, a loud noise can be heard in our room too. Overall this hotel is rather overpriced (we paid over £200 per night) as it is very basic and uncomfortable.

Exceptional 10.0
Great location and good service.
The hotel is probably half a block from Sothwark station on the Jubilee line. Lots of restaurants close by. Good vibes. Walked to Boro market in less than 20 minutes, from there you can also walk to the Shard and the Tower of London. Check in was quick, reception was very helpful. Didn’t expect that from a 3 stars hotel. Glad we picked this hotel.

Good base for a London visit
This hotel was chosen primarily for its location, and because I am familiar with the Ibis hotels. They provide a clean, secure, comfortable room at a reasonable price, which is what we wanted as we spent most of our time outside of the hotel. The location is excellent - only about 100 metres to the Southwark tube station (although, due to the mobility issues of a couple of our party we took cabs everywhere). The hotel is typical of an Ibis - the rooms were clean and comfortable. As we requested accessible rooms the bathroom was quite large, and included grab bars and a no-barrier shower, which was really appreciated. We ate in the restaurant for one dinner, and the food was good, but I had to ask the waiter to come and serve us! My impression is that most of the staff are summer students, with a considerable variation in their comprehension of the English language - this was more of an inconvenience than a problem, but it did make it a bit tricky with some of our requests - e.g. asking for a luggage rack resulted in an extra chair being brought to the room. The "breakfast to go" is a good idea, but they only re-stocked it with a few items at a time. Overall a good stay, which met our requirements for our three days in London

In Transit
The property is in a busy, business, commercial area near Tube and rail lines. Only stayed one night while in transit to the north of England. The staff was very nice, helpful and made you feel welcome. The rooms while smallish were comfortable. The buffet breakfast was quite good.
