Lovely Room, Great Location
Overall our experience here was great, we went for Valentine's Day and a few days between, when I emailed the hotel prior to our trip they couldn't have been more helpful with helping me arrange flowers to be left in the room upon our arrival, good from the get go! The hotel itself is In a great location minutes from the train station (which in turn is minutes from the city centre) the one downfall I had with this hotel was the "tech guy". The smart tv facility in our room was not working and neither was the phone so I had to go to reception to query this. The reception staff where very helpful as usual, yet when this guy came to our room he informed us someone had previously tried to steal the viggo box and therefore couldn't fix it until the following morning when he arranged to return (he didn't return) when I returned to reception one of the girls came up to the room to help us and solved the issue straight away (the hdmi cable wasn't plugged in) so the tech guy was aware of this and hindered our situation rather than help, and added to the situation by giving us a made up stor, granted I'm rambling a bit, but this guy blatenly didn't like English people and didnt even to help our situation, I complained and said they should fire him. All tech douche aside, the stay was lovely and the majority of the staff were exemplary ! Highly recommend this hotel

Exceptional 10.0
Home away from home
Let me start off by saying that if I come back to Amsterdam for several days I would definitely stay here again. Perfect place for people that want to stay in a safe, quiet area but "close" to the action. This hotel is a 3 minute walk from the Sloterdijk station/hub. In this station you can get any type of transportation you desire. A 5 min train ride takes you to City center, and in 7 you can get to the airport. You can take buses/tram/metro to the city and many other places too from this station. Public transportation in Amsterdam is phenomenal so you that is the way to go. The hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. Rooms are big and they have plenty of space to put your stuff. It was clean and comfortable. Free Wifi worked really well. Room has a full kitchen. There is a laundry room in the ground floor, which we used without problems. Instructions are in Dutch and English. Hotel was a restaurant/bar and also offers vending machines. There is a small grocery store across the street, in the Holiday Inn Express hotel, where you can buy the essentials and a bit more. Location is extremely quiet and there are many other hotels in the area. I believe you can rent a bike nearby but don't know for sure. The Sloterdijk station offers eating options but limited to fast food.

World Class Hotel
This hotel is absolutely amazing! The cleanliness was superb, the access to transportation was great (everything is literally across the street), and the staff and the customer service they provided were world class! Rudith (hope I spelled that right) explained everything in detail at check in, answered all of our follow up questions, and they all gave specific directions for getting to the tram and the train and where to walk from our stops. We had a slight issue with the shower and someone came up that night but was unable to fix it; however, it was fixed the next morning. The laundry room was clean and the machines were efficient. And to top it off, they even decorated the room for my birthday! Our bags didn't arrive on time and we had them delivered to the hotel. The staff was great in making suggestions for shopping and keeping us updated on the status of our bags. We only ate breakfast once at the restaurant downstairs but it was good as well. Only a few tv channels worked but there's so much to see, who really needs tv?! Great views outside. Super quiet hallways. 5 star customer service, 5 star facility, 5 star stay. I will DEFINITELY be staying here when I return to Amsterdam.

Good 6.0
Did not meet our expectations.
We were disappointed with the condition of the apartment. The pictures look beautiful on the internet. Reality is that they are cheaply done and are not cleaned thoroughly before the next guest comes. There was alot of dust, scratches on walls, fingerprints on doors, in the bathroom, etc. They need to be taken better care of but I guess they cannot manage it with over 120 apartments. Also water damage in the bathroom (toilet), dirt in the electric socket on eye level in bathroom. My towel had stripes of brown dirt on it. After getting a new towel...it was so new it had never been washed - leaving fuzz all over me after a shower. We also didn't realize when booking they are only cleaned once per week. Not a hotel as the title makes you assume. The good: personel at the reception desk (except for one young woman who seems to forget why she's there: cannot greet or looks annoyed if you dare check-in, doesn't give basic info unless you ask, like where the elevator is so you can get to your apartment). Coffee machine with coffee. Separate rooms & bathrooms when you are traveling with others. Location: just 6 minutes with trains that run every few minutes to central Amsterdam.

Beautifully decorated room, included mini kitchen with refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, hot water maker, plates, utensils, etc. Nice walk-in shower. Like a 2 Minute walk to the Sloterdjyk train station where you could get a train or bus to the central station in the heart of the city. The front desk people did not inform us that the breakfast discount was only applicable if you booked all breakfasts at check-in. We were under the impression that you could pre-book a breakfast the night before and get the discount. There are signs all over the hotel claiming that you can call the front desk to book a discounted breakfast, but it’s not true. So if you want the discounted breakfast, you have to book them all during check-in. The front desk woman was not very friendly about this. Also, at 7:50 am, construction started right above our room. It was so loud that me and my partner could not even hear each other talk from across the room. I complained and got free parking from this. But really, who starts drilling in a hotel before 8?
