Ambassador Aegean Luxury Hotel and Suites

A perfect place to stay. Spotless clean rooms and outdoor spaces with the most stunning views. All of the staff, from the cleaners to waiters to reception are so friendly and helpful. The service is impeccable and the food in the restaurant is amazingly good. Faultless - have just come back feeling thoroughly spoiled.

The hospitality of reception staff was amazing. Their recommendations to visit the site was really useful. We went to Greek wedding show and my 4 years old daughter loved it. The view from room was very good. The sun-set view was very beautiful. The breakfast was good with nice options to choose from. I would love to go back their again. We stayed in room 19 and my 4 years old still missing her holidays and keep saying lets go back to room 19.

We booked on hotels.com and were a little apprehensive as we’ve had mixed experiences in the past. Our concerns disappeared on arrival. The hotel is just a 20 min drive from the airport. I definitely recommend hiring a car in advance though as it’s convenient and very handy for getting around the island. The staff at the hotel were absolutely fantastic and looked after our every need (particularly the two waitresses in the restaurant). We were upgraded to a private Villa which was a lovely touch. The concierge services was fantastic. When enquiring about trips/activities she wasn’t pushy at all (this is a real plus in my book). We booked a trip on a Catamaran (definitely worth the money) and also a private tour of the ancient ruins... this is a must if you want to understand what you are really looking at. The rest of the week we took in trips in the car to Pyrgos, Imerovigli, Fira and of course Oi. To be honest, it was always lovely to come back to the peace and tranquillity of the hotel. I have seen some people complain about drinking water and the pool temperatures... drinking water in bottles is completely normal for most island restores. As for the pool, once you get in and under it’s actually refreshing and no where near as bad as others made out. I guess it would be nice to have them heated so you could use them in the evening but if you want to try and stop climate change then it’s not a problem. Highly recommend this hotel!!

We stayed here for 9 days in august. Room - we stayed in a cave room with private pool - the views of the ocean and volcano were just stunning. The room was lovely, clean, amazing bed and everything we needed. Service - hotel staff are really friendly and helpful getting you whatever you need. They will arrange taxis to pick you up, send them back to Fira or wherever you are to pick you up, really great. Breakfast - Is really good, they have a funny system where you order from a breakfast card but what this means is everything is cooked to order and you can have anything you like from the card - i prefer this to a buffet breakfast. The staff were great, especially Effie would was so nice. Overall if you want seclusion, romance, a spa, great service and amazing views then this is the place to stay. Just to note you do need to be able bodied, the hotel is build on the side of a cliff and there are tunnels taking you to your rooms - they have golf carts to ferry people around but it could be challenging to some. The hotel is a 25 min taxi ride to Fira and the cost is Euro 25 one way, so be prepared to add Euro 50 a night if you want to get in and our of Fira which is the centre. Akrotiri is the closest village about 20 min walk away, but its on a main road and there are only a handful of restaurants there. Overall loved it, would definitely go back.

Wonderful service from great staff. Fantastic restaurant & breakfast. Loved the option to get a delicious breakfast delivered. Spa treatments also wonderful. Highly recommend.

Ambassador was beautiful, clean and the service was impeccable from the moment we arrived until we departed. The views of sunset and Caldera are amazing. It's much quieter than Fira or Oia but closer to the red beach, historical sites and Santo Wines.

This resort is top notch. The staff is the beat I have ever experienced, from the Concierge and Reception Staff to the Restaurant Staff to the Housekeeping Team and everyone in between. My sister and I were treated like family and I feel we have a family at The Ambassador Aegean and we are so full of love for them. The property is amazing (every one of the 44 rooms has a private pool!) and the views spectacular. We would definitely return to The Ambassador!❤️

The bathtub was rip, looks cheap. Didn’t know Housekeeping will not wash and change cups n glasses ! Need to call room service to change after 3 days

Unique hotel. Spectacular views, wonderful quiet location. Staff are very friendly and pay attention to details. They incredibly focussed on making sure you have a fabulous time during your stay. Wonderful experience
