Florida House Inn
Great and so historical
Loved this place. Such history. People like Henry Ford stayed here. Clean room, even though a bit smaller (which we were aware of), was perfectly fine. Close walking distance to the main shops and restaurants. The bar next door had fab live music. Breakfast was good - hot and cold choices. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

Who wants dull when you can have this
First-class in every way, and the perfect antidote to boring modern hotels decided of atmosphere. Historic house in historic town, full of character, yet spotlessly clean and everything works. Nice breakfast, charming service, highly recommended.

Lovely but loud
The inn was lovely and our room was beautifully decorated with Christmas items. The only issue was we were in room 6, right next to the Green Turtle. The music was VERY loud very late into the night.

The location is perfect, in walking distance of a lot of restaurants, galleries, shops. The breakfast was a pleasant surprise, goid quality and family style. However, when we arrived there was no one, we found per accident an envelope with our name and instructions for self check in. The room did not have any heating we had to find some one who could provide us with an extra blanket. I still don’t know who the manager/ owner was. No one introduced him/ her self. Very strange in this friendly hospitible town. The coffee maker ( Keurig ) did not work properly and there was not a person who you could ask. A sign said the bar was supposed to be open from 5-9pm but the door was locked. Breakfast time starts rather late, 8.30, so since we had to start driving our last day at 8, we did not have the breakfast on Sunday. The room we occupied was rather small and could use some maintenance ( paint) there was also a leaking faucet. The bed/ mattrass was good. The dresser smelled very musty, not a place where you would put your clothes. I know it is an historic building but asking $160 per night for this small room I feel is not fair.
