Overall happy
Overall I was happy with my stay. We didn't require service except check in and out and both times we were seen straight away. I wasn't expecting much for a three star hotel however it was alot cleaner than I expected and I am a cleaner in 5 star Lodge. Our room was very small but the bed was very comfy. Due to the room being small we had to keep the air conditioning on all night as it got very warm easily. I was very happy with the location as it right next to the station which is good for me as I get lost easily. And basically the other end of princess Street therefore a short distant/ walk to most thing, Shopping centre, Edinburgh dungeon, pubs, restaurants ect

Good value for a short stay
It's a budget hotel, so the rooms ar small, but comfortable for a short stay. Generally clean and in good condition, though still room for improvement. Staff are friendly and helpful, e.g. they sorted heating when the room was too warm. The only thing I would have wished for was coffee making facilities in the room, we both missed that first coffee before starting the day. Breakfast and dinner in the adjoining Platform 5 were good value and excellent quality.

Last minute decision
It was booked a few days before just for 1 night stay over. Room was spotless. Also an added bonus having sky in the room. Would stay again

Windowless cloustrophobic rooms is not value
Hallway carpets could have been cleaner as well as the shower walls. The worst of all is to get charged 90 pounds per night for a windowless claustrophobic room. I guess those are Scottish prices and quality. !
