More three stars than four.
Great breakfast, lovely reception. Very clean and nice and bright. However, I wouldn't say it's a four star stay. We requested a king size bed and received two singles pushed together (I understand requests can't always be taken into consideration). They had two separate duvets and the beds just kept sliding apart. My boyfriend and I ended up sleeping separately for the night! His pillow was also rock hard, but the beds were comfy. Just felt like the hotel lacked that certain something. From staying in some five star hotels, this was definitely more than one star below. Although not bad, it wasn't necessarily what I expected. Fantastic location, right on the beach and close to town.

Hotel Mediterranean is excellent
Great location a few minutes' walk along sea front to Mandraki Harbour, 10 minutes or so from the old town. Lots of pleasant bars and restaurants in the streets around the hotel, so convenient for a night out. You only have to cross the road outside to be on Elli beach. All staff were courteous and professional and the junior suite with sea view was simply perfect. Comprehensive choice for breakfast in a lovely dining room overlooking the sea, including omelettes made to order; we went bed and breakfast but had one evening meal in the hotel's dining room: this was a hot buffet of classic Greek dishes and was comprehensive, extremely tasty and excellent value for money, and was complemented by a good choice of high quality local wines. Hotel bar was not completely stocked as it is still low season in mid April when we visited, but we had a few classic cocktails in the bar and they were all superbly prepared by knowledgeable waiters. Room cleaning was satisfactory but they were a bit lax about stocking the mini bar and providing supplies for the Nespresso coffee machine which was in the room. This didn’t bother us as we never used either and I'm sure if we'd have asked at reception they'd have sorted it out; this was the only factor which could be regarded as at all negative. Overall, we found this to be an excellent hotel of a high standard and it went a long way towards making our stay in Rhodes so enjoyable. We would have no hesitation in staying there again.

Wonderful and comfortable Hotel
Wonderful hotel with the perfect location! Right next to the beach, 10-15 minute walk to the Old Rhodes Town and even closer to the new town and Mandraki Harbor. Tons of great restaurants and cafes one after the other. Great breakfast buffet. Also great and reasonable dinner buffet. Very comfortable bed with lovely view of the ocean from balcony. Had everything we wanted. Lovely place to enjoy and explore. Rhodes
