Exceptional
Outstanding Hotel, Great Location.
First time in Bangkok and I loved how central the hotel was and easy to get around - Right by BTS. Freindly and welcoming. Happy to do anything to ensure a great stay. Beautiful views. Just loved the Octave bar on the 45th floor. Only suggestion is that Reception became more organised. Often 3 colleagues dealing with one customer, this made it quite slow. Otherwise perfect.

Exceptional
Fantastic three nights
I visited with a friend for three nights and found the apartments to be great. The hotel staff were highly professional, helpful and friendly. The apartment was in fantastic condition and had a full range of amenities. Also about two mins from Thong Lo sky train station, which has a connection to the metro system. The Octave rooftop bar has a great 360 degrees view of the city skyline.

I used to love this hotel, but after this past stay I can confidently say that I will not return. The front desk staff was so rude and inefficient - there are much better (and cheaper) places to stay in the area. We booked a king size bed and were given what was equivalent to a queen. We'd both stayed in this hotel before and were surprised because the kings here are usually HUGE - like California kings. When we asked the FD staff we were told that the queen size bed is the Marriott's version of a king and that the king beds get bigger after the 23rd floor. Weird explanation and definitely not how standard bed sizing works, but okay fine. So then we asked for double beds, we were told the hotel was fully booked. We pulled up the website and could see that it was not. We were ignored and lied to. It was really frustrating. Finally, we were able to get a room with two double beds - but after spending about two hours at the front desk. Also, a heads up the taxi we booked to the airport through the front desk was metered BUT they refused to turn the meter on and wanted to charge us around 700 baht - which is more than double the normal amount. We asked the driver to turn around and drop us back at the hotel. I expected much more from the Marriott brand, especially for the price. I'd suggest booking somewhere else, this hotel just isn't worth it.

Very Good
Great hotel, friendly staff but location so so
The hotel itself was excellent, food was good and nice variety. We booked on hotels.com with 2 breakfast however the confirmation did not show the breakfast. The hotel was kind enough to offer the breakfast. The staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful. Only downside was the area ...we walked around and found the sidewalks very broken up and run down. There were rats running around and even one dead on a side street. Pity as the hotel was really nice.
