Comfortable and very quiet location in Carlisle. It's within easily walking distance of downtown. Parking can be challenging, but not as impossible as some other locations we visited in the UK. Breakfast was very good. The building and bedroom both had "character", Not a cookie cutter hotel room.

From talking with other travelers I'm not sure this is the best Carlisle option, but it was quite nice. The house is lovely, though there are 3 floors so if you have heavy luggage you may one to request a lower one! Our room was at the top, two single beds, quite spacious, with a nice en suite. The breakfast was very good, and we had enough to make a small sandwich to take on the road as well. The landlady was sweet and helpful.
