RUDEST OWNER, METAL BED
This review is here to serve as a guideline for people considering staying at this place. Stay away. Pick something else. If you choose to stay here you will: - NOT SLEEP: the double bed is in fact, two single bed metal frames locked together. That would be fine if the mattress on top would be double. But no, you guessed it, there are two mattresses (2 singles) that part ways during the night, leaving no less space than the Grand Canyon. An enormous gap is created between the two mattresses and one of you, if not both will end up "sleeping" on the bed frame. No sleep, back pains, and ended up falling out of the bed because the mattress would move towards the exterior and nothing was supporting it underneath (so you think you are on the bed but you are in fact not and end up falling). I was told initially, by the housekeeper (lovely woman), that the situation would be resolved by the time we get back to the hotel in the evening. Second night came and this happened again. The owner, who checked us in, didn't come to see us or resolve the issue. She rudely said, two days later she can't buy a new mattress just for us and that we are free to move to another hotel, that she doesn't care because we have only one more night to stay anyways. Nice, right? - towels aren't changed daily - the owner is the rudest, most ridiculous person I have ever had to deal with in the hospitality sector.

Disappointing
Had issues checking in when we arrived. No one was there to answer the buzzer when we tried to get into the building and no one answered the phone when I tried to call and I also left a message. This of course caused a little bit of a panic since we didn't know if we had a place to stay during the night. After a little while I tried calling again someone actually answered. We actually had to go down the road to a restaurant to pick up our keys and let ourself in. Also there was no breakfast even when we booked it stated free breakfast and it also noted it on the board when we walked in. Thought it was funny they are considered a bed and breakfast. Although we had issues the room was nice and clean. Towels weren't cleaned the 4 nights we were there though.

Great price, great location, great stay!
I am a frequent traveler, and when traveling to Europe, I'm often skeptical of the smaller hotels. Booking something so far in advance with very little idea of what it will be like makes me uneasy (perhaps American hotels have just spoiled me too much...) We picked a random "boutique" hotel, which was Residenza Elizabeth, and boy, am I glad we did! Our stay was absolutely great. The rooms were clean, well decorated, and all had access to a private bathroom. The location was perfect. We were a short walk away from the touristy areas but had a nice, quiet, nights sleep each night. The staff was super nice, especially with accommodating our later check in and flight arrival time. For such a reasonable price, I don't see us staying anywhere else on our next visit. We absolutely loved it. The recommended restaurant, owned by a friend of Residenza Elizabeth was one of the best meals we had. We were very pleased with our stay and will definitely be coming back.

Very nice and clean. We were provided with information about by the friendly host on the city, where to visit, where to eat and how to get about. Everything was perfect and highly recommended.
