The Reserve at Paradisus Punta Cana Resort - All Inclusive

Good hotel with good facilities- I didn't stay for two long to be able to use all the facilities

Our stay was great, except we got sick from something on the first day and ending up spending the majority of time in the bathrooms. Whether it was the food or drinks, it was definitely something. The mosquitos didn’t help the situation either. The resort was beautiful during the day and the indoor restaurants were great. But the buffets were mosquitos infested and we’re not sure the food was properly taken care of because we both got sick. But the worst part was the constant undertone from the staff to be tipped. We realize that they’re working and probably don’t get paid a whole lot, but we’ve stayed at other All-Inclusive resorts where tipping is accepted but not expected. Here, we couldn’t even get service unless we tipped. It wasn’t pleasant. And neither was running to the restroom every 15 minutes. We are now calling Punta Cana “Poopa Cana”. On the positive side, we did have a personal concierge with the greatest spirit and attitude in the entire DR. Jose Reinoso was amazing and we had no issues giving him a big tip at the end of our trip. The beach is beautiful and the air is very refreshing. The main lobby at Paradisus is fantastic while the Reserve experience is underwhelming. Just manage your expectations and remember to take plenty of cash for tips, Pepto, and Imodium and you’ll be ok

We enjoyed the stay. Loved the walkway to the beach. Lot of vegetation around the property. The food is great in all the resturarants which need reservations. Food in buffet was ok, as the food is not warm in most of the occasions. Very friendly staff.
