The house was beautiful, clean and charming. We were greeted and shown around the house. We unpacked and were on our way to visit our children. When we returned in the evening we slept great. Breakfast was wonderful, beautifully presented and the variety was perfect. We were on our way out by 10. We did have a problem finding the correct address, we blame the gps. The only problem was that we could not stay longer. We will return next time we come to Grand Rapids.

A gem in GR
We enjoyed our stay immensely. Ruth was kind enough to stay late for our check in. We really messed up on that. We were dawdling coming out of Chicago and them we forgot about the 1 hour time change (#whoknew?) We were really late.Ruth was kind enough to welcome us and give us a complete tour. She asked us for our preference for the morning breakfast and then got up early & made it. Deb was the weekend host and she was a great ambassador. She cooked up several really nice meals. If she offers baked french toast take it! It is great. She made some extra and we took a bunch of it when we came in that evening. The home is in a great neighborhood. Heritage hill. My wife & I walked through it every day. Lots of old homes to admire and enjoy. 2 Frank Lloyd Wright homes. The one down the block has tours. We did not line up on the correct days for a tour. Look for the turkey in the 'hood! My wife cried out to stop the car our first night. She wasn't sure what she saw. It's a turkey that has adopted the neighborhood. We saw it again the next night. Mrs says we are booking back here when we return to GR
