Hostal La Macarena
Marvellous Madrid
The hotel was very clean and tidy and the service was exceptional, despite my lack of Spanish. The location was spot on, you couldn’t get more central Madrid. This was a well needed break and knce I got there I couldn’t have wish for more. Overall a lovely stay in a very nice hotel and a great location.

No nonsense place to stay in a fantastic area for bars and restaurants. If you are looking for a good value, clean place to sleep then this is for you. If you want luxury and room service then look elsewhere!

Perfect location
Hotel walls were a little thin, with some noise from downstairs witch didn't affect the enjoyment of our stay as we enjoyed the great location with very friendly & helpful staff.

Wonderfully Vibrant & Bustling, and a bit of noise
With a small balcony overlooking a bustling market square just outside of the Plaza Mayor, it was a vibrant, exciting atmosphere. The noise could be a bit much, but the great location was worth it - and when one closed both the interior and exterior shutters, the crowd noises was more like a mild white noise. The staff was fun, fabulous and excellent. The room for one, like most in Europe, was very very small. But hey, this was mostly a place to sleep, not hang, nor entertain. I loved the place. And I was thrilled to have an elevator, as stairs give me problems - especially when I'm towing luggage. Loved this place!
