Nice little find in a quiet neighborhood area.
It's a nice hotel. Service was O.K. Staff were friendly, that's it!

Quite a modern hotel/hostel
I stayed in a single room. The room was big compared to other single hotel rooms in Japan. The room also had an ensuite, but each floor also has a shared bathroom/shower/toilets, where the bathrooms/showers are separated by gender on each floor. The location is not bad but is not great either. It's a 5~10 min walk to the closest station, but it's also 10~15 min walk to Ueno onshi park. Which has a lot of museums and also a zoo. The place was comfortable and clean to stay at, but it also takes a little longer to get to more of the popular sights of Tokyo.

Quite residential area but 5 min walk to supermarkets, places to eat, shops, shrines and Nezu metro station. Really friendly and relaxed hotel with a small selection of good food and a bar till late. Mix of international guests and communal kitchen and lounge but not sure if its for all as some people live there. Really helpful and friendly staff that seem to speak many languages including English.

Tokyo is huge, so make this little hotel your home
A pleasant walk away from Ueno Park. It is located in a quiet neighbourhood but still a good base to explore Tokyo, as long as you are willing to walk a bit. Very friendly staff with good English. Breakfast choices somewhat unconventional but still recommended. There is a bit of a backpacker vibe in the small cafe/bar area, with tasty draft beers. For Tokyo, the price is more than reasonable. Recommended.

Nice neighbourhood hotel.
A very nice hotel with friendly young staff. The room was quite small and had some problems but we didn't spend too much time there so it was okay, we slept well anyway. Breakfast was very nice with a choice of sandwiches or a pancake with fruit. Plenty of coffee and soup as well. Later in the day the bar is a pleasant place to spend time, with an outdoor patio as well. Free small drink each day for residents is a nice touch. Bike rental is available (using the famous Tokyo Bikes) and is a nice way to see the city, as long as it doesn't rain as it did for us! Overall we really enjoyed the stay and would recommend the hotel, especially for travellers who don't mind a few rough edges.
