Pleasant b&b
Just returned from the Beaches after a 2 nights stay in room 7 with a dog. The room is a attic room at the top of the house with an amazing view out of a small window. Yes lots if steps to climb so may not be suitable for everyone. The room was clean, plenty of drawers, wardrobe space, bed was fine, clean towels, small bar of soap each, plenty of tea and coffee sachets and a club biscuit each. There was a small tv and a hairdryer. I couldnt work out the shower and had a rather cool one, but it was a heatwave so no problem. It was not fixed to wall properly, i informed Tamsin, the landlady when i left. Tamsin was lovely she couldnt do enough for you. We ate our breakfast outside as the dog wasnt allowed in the dining area which i expected, it was a glorious day so no problem. Breakfast was fine, cereals, toast, jam, juice, pots of coffee and a full english or you could have any variation l, scrambled or poached eggs. The room was stifling hot, could of done with a fan really but i didnt ask for one. We were having a heatwave so cannot fault the property for that. You may wish to take ear plugs as the noise from the seagulls is horrendous, must be because we were so high up, again cant fault the property for that. Its about a 10/15 minute walk to the harbour, there are pubs and eating places closer. Overall a nice friendly b&b. The rooms are dated but this is relected in the price.

Good value small room.
Small room. Bed small double and quite a poor mattress. Spotlessly clean though and perfectly adequate for a night or two. Very convenient for the pavilion which is why we booked it. Breakfast OK. Very friendly.

Ok but a bit expensive at £72 a night

Good enough for relatively low price
The room was nice and very clean. The shower was particularly good and we had an abbey view from our room. The host was welcoming and chatty and tried to make our stay enjoyable. The breakfast was a Full English which she cooked but it was very greasy and she could've used better quality sausages. There was about 6 cereals on offer that you could help yourself to. No wifi here and parking is difficult (but that's a problem for all of Whitby).

Good value, comfortable with excellent breakfast.
The Landlady was extremely friendly and helpful and she couldn't do enough for us. We were issued with a parking permit which enabled us to park for free on the road outside the property. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. I've stayed in much more expensive places and had far inferior breakfasts. I would definitely recommend this place.
