Afraid i would not stay in an Ibis again.
Whilst breakfast was lovely, and the staff there very friendly, the room had a nasty odour. It must’ve been evident to the staff that the room had an odour, because the room window was wide open, and the room was freezing cold. When we got to bed the pillows was so hard they were hurting both mine and my daughters neck. Went to reception to try and get new pillows which were a little softer, they promised to bring them to us within 10 minutes, after 10 minutes there was a knock at the door to tell us there were no more pillows. So me and my daughter had to sleep with no pillows at all. We sleep in lots of hotels and don’t think we’re particularly picky and when speaking to other guests it seems we was not picky as a lot of people were complaining about the poor mattresses and the really poor pillows. The floor was very dirty indeed, one of my tops had dropped onto the floor and as i picked it up i also picked up a clump of hair! When looking under the bed there was a lot of dirt. We wanted to use Avios points for the payment and the best deal was with this hotel, but next time I would use my points for something else and i would pay for a different budget hotel. Premier Inns are a little more expensive, but to have nice mattresses and pillows would most definitely be worth the extra cash. Im afraid we won’t ever be staying in an Ibis hotel again.

Poor 2.0
IBIS Budget not good.
I didn’t enjoy my stay here. Only for one night- got into lift it kept on going to ground floor even if different floors were pressed. Mentioned this to the manager who said it happened all the time- they should of had a sign on the lift saying it was out of order, and called an engineer. Next could not get into my room cards did notwork. Was given two sets of replacement keycards for room- these too dis not work, so eventually at 9pm again spoke to manager that said the keybox battery had died and that when I needed to get back into my room i would need to get the the manager to let me in. I was offrred s replacement room but as all my stuff was unpacked, and I was tired i went to bed. The water was also cold in the shower. I got a different room in the AM and again the shower was cold. It was checked but in this new room the manager said the signs for hot and cold water were the wrong way round. They should of put a sign or advice in the room. Will not be staying in IBIS Budget again, would rather pay more and stay in IBIS Styles- where I have not had any of the above mentioned issues.

Exceptional 10.0
Great hotel close to city center
Initially we were a bit sceptical about the location but once we got there and found that there is a shortcut through the nearby residential estate to a lovely new pedestrian bridge across the Clyde and straight into the city center we were much happier! The hotel is very clean and comfortable with great amenities like free wifi and a superb breakfast buffet at the best price I have ever seen! Fresh bakery goods and delicious Scottish ham and cheese, yogurts, porridge and a fantastic collection of teas and coffees. The rooms were all freshly decorated with fluffy towels and really clever space saving designs with a compact shower, and separate sink and toilet so no waiting while someone is in the bathroom! The best bit was the staff - they were super helpful and friendly at all times despite being really busy and dealing with a full hotel and multiple group bookings. We were also able to leave our luggage before and after check-in and out. The only disappointing thing was how rude some of the other guests were to the staff for absolutely no reason but the staff were always super polite no matter how some horrible, rude people behaved. There are also plenty of restaurants and entertainment on your doorstep at Springfield Quay and local shops in the road behind the hotel so you don't need to go far if the weather isn't great! Thank you to all the staff for making it a really great stay and to Ibis for providing such a great budget option - we hope to visit again soon!

Exceptional 10.0
It was easy to find the hotel and parking lot using Google maps. Plenty of free parking on storey car park. Checking in was straight forward and took about 5 minutes. I had the double room. Contains - a double bed, separate shower and toilet, a sink, a small wall attached table and a stool. There was a wall mounted Freeview TV and clothes hanger at the opposite. If you like a cuppa in the morning, you will be disappointed - there's no kettle or anything. This is not a room for you. The buffet breakfast is quite adequate for most people's needs. There's a choice of hot and cold drinks and food. The room and facilities were good enough for my needs. I would say its good enough for a couple for a couple of day's stay. I will stay there again. There's plenty of amenities around the hotel, you won't be hungry for sure.

Very good 8.0
Nice for a weekend, in good shape and comfort
Located south of the city and near the Shields Road metro station and one of the finest buildings by architect Mackintosh, the Scotland Street School Museum; also right across the large shopping centre full of restaurants and cinema. The location was great since you are just few minutes from the metro, or a short walking distance to the Clydesdale Bridge onto the centre of the city. The room was simple, plain but as is the standard on this hotels, in great condition and very clean, and extremely comfortable bed. The staff was super friendly and was fun. All was perfect and great until Saturday night. There was a party in a room near ours, and plenty of movement of people in and out with loud music (how did they manage to get on with that remains a mystery). We let the receptionist know about this, but did nothing. 3 attempts took us, then without any hesitation changed us the room, that's fine. However, their comment was a bit of a surprise for a hotel, saying something as: "well this is Glasgow and it's Saturday, so people party". Honestly, we did not find this answer from a receptionist of a hotel appropriate. If you want to party, you go out, but not in a hotel room!
