Clean, comfortable and cheap but terrible service
Stayed here as a last minute booking for one night. Room was comfortable and clean although very small, could barely stand in the bathroom. But to be expected as it was very cheap. Out of the city but as we had a car that didn’t matter. However, terrible service from reception staff. I had booked the room online and paid for it, but my friend went to check in while I went to the toilet.. the lady at the desk charged my friend (who didn’t realise i’d already paid) for the room again and £7 parking. When I saw and pointed this out she refunded it but surely it should have said on the system that I’d already paid? She then said she couldn’t put the parking through again because she’d just refunded it but we could pay for that the next morning. On check out we attempted to pay for parking but the man at the desk told us we should have paid the night before and we would be fined £100! Even though his colleague had told us to pay the next morning! He said there was nothing he could do as it wasn’t their car park and we would just have to appeal the fine, very unhelpful.

Fair 4.0
close to the trafford centre and old trafford
The hotel was situated in a very good place for all the attractions and restaurants that suited our requirments and family, however the hotel was not. When we made the booking we entered that we needed a room that would sleep three people, two adults and a two year old. When we arrived the lady on reception allowed us to check in half an hour early which was appreciated as we had driven a long way. When we entered our room we were very disappointed to discover the layout etc. Firstly the bed was a very big issue. It clearly states on the side of the bed NOT SUITABLE FOR CHILDREN UNDER 6, my son is two!!! We went down stairs to enquire about moving rooms to be told that this is all they had to offer, or he could sleep in a cot, this was also an issue as he does not fit in one any more. We therefore had to pull down the mattress from the bunk and lay it on the floor so thsat he could sleep safely. We were aware that it was a bunk bed when we booked the room but it did not say it was only a top bunk, if it did we would not have booked it here. I totally understand that this is a budget hotel but to find the toilet had no hand basin in and everything was in the actual room. The hotel advertised all you can eat breakfast for £5.50 which we thought was good until wer went down to breakfast and after paying saw that this was only contintental but only had toast, croissants, one flavour muffin and corn or bran flakes. We were disgusted that we had paid this just for toast.

Poor 2.0
terrible
arrival; check in excellent food was very very bad you can not give it to your dogs' rooms were filthy and poorly managed i was there from Sunday night until Wednesday, and my bedding was not changed and my room clean only once i am disabled and have a child who is yet not once did they offered help when i asked. i needed hurt water for my child there is no such facility in place. When asked, the staff said they don't have any service for that. The staff told me that if i want i should come down the reception. When asked even on the night they said yes. non but one was willing to go a mile too but one.Her name was HON. Also when i told them, i need help. One of the mail staff said i should live my daughter at reception and go and get my things. It was only when Hon comes i explain to her she got the housekeepers to bring my thoughts down. The staff mostly male staff could not stop reminding me it is a budget hotel. i have gone to budget hotels, and the few necessary like hotel wanter and assistant were always available. Please try to improve, and i will never go to that hotel.

Very good 8.0
Comfortable, bargain price, definitely recommend
We booked The Ibis as it was close to Old Trafford, walking distance. Even though our checkin was 2 pm the receptionist left us checkin at 12. Room was ok for myself and my 2 teenage sons, 1 double bed and a single bunk. Very comfortable, clean, warm, cozy, had a tiny toilet and separate shower. There wasn’t any real wardrobe as such, just a rail and a few hangers, for three people in the room it could have done with more storage for clothes. There was a table and tv, reception on most of the channels was very poor but thankfully there were 3 channels that provided enough entainment. Housekeeping as with any other accomodation came early but allowed a humorous sign to be placed on the door to let them know if we didn’t want to be disturbed, the other side saying that they could come in when we were out, I did but when we came back they hadn’t. Next morning when I heard them outside I just asked for change of towels, soap and toilet paper which he was happy to give he said he would drop back later to give the room a clean which he did, he forgot to make the top bed on 2 occasions though. I would definitely recommend the Ibis, for going into city center though be ready to pay between 3-9 pounds for an Uber one way. But very reasonably priced and has tescos a few minuits walk from it for some snacks. Would come back again

Exceptional 10.0
Great place to stay if you are on a budget
The room is plain white with a bed, desk & stool, small TV, hanging space, sink, shower cubicle and a separate toilet. It has air-conditioning and a wood & lino floor. Apart from a light switches etc I don't think I've missed anything! It was my first stay and I thought I'd made a mistake when I arrived. Then I realized i wasn't actually going to use much more anyway! I got there at 8pm and planned to go to for dinner; returning at 10.30 pm; i got up at 7 and left at 8pm so anything else I would have paid for i would not have used!!! Everything in the hotel worked, was clean and bright. Free WiFi everywhere/ Reception is manned 24/7 and the area is brightly lit. The staff were helpful & pleasant. I had the breakfast which was unlimited continental buffet with good fruit juice and coffee, cereals, cheeses, breads, croissants and all for £5.50. The best bit was that I had a great nights sleep, far Bette than I had for some months!! If you are away on business and need to crash for the night or if on holiday and money is tight this is an excellent hotel. I will stay there again next week. If you are used to luxury and tea/coffee in your room with a 40" plasma TV and free toiletries then this is probably not for you.
