Stanford Court San Francisco
Stanford is wonderful.
My sister and I came to San fransisco for our first time ever. Everyone in the hotel was super lovely, they told us all the rules of the place, where to go, where to not and made us feel very welcome. It was a beautiful city with a wonderful hotel...the best we’ve ever stayed in and believe me, we have stayed in many!

Great location!
Good hotel in a great location. The lobby was under refurbishment when I was there so was a bit noisy. Rooms have been recently redecorated and look nice.

Hotel of choice in SF for business trips
It’s not your typical corporate hotel, it has a bit of character, Lower rooms are noisy (although they provide earplugs), the gym is very good with loads of free weights, machines, bikes with power meters and more. No room service, but the breakfast is good. It’s an easy walk down to union square, market st, mission etc for all the shopping. The walk back is up a steep climb though.

Wouldn't stay here again, the hotel was definitely not of 4 star standard. The hotel was also under construction which we were very disappointed we weren't warned about prior to our stay.

Very Dissapointed!!!!!!
To say I was annoyed upon check is an understatement. This hotel was the final stop on our honeymoon and they hadn't had the good grace to inform us that we would be staying in a building site!!!The hotel is undergoing a refurbishment of the lower levels, so there is a temporary lobby where most of the computers kept crashing, no bar or restaurant or breakfast room, breakfast is served in a tiny room on the sixth floor which only has a capacity of around 35 people so a couple of times we had to wait for a seat to become available. Breakfast is also an extra which I couldn't believe when you saw the meagre choices on display! Upon check in we had to use the service elevators to get to our room on the 6th floor, I assume there were stairs somewhere in case of an emergency but I never found them. The staff were very apologetic about the whole situation which is why I have given the service a medium score. I felt that they too were embarrassed by the farcical situation in which this premium hotel was operating. Whoever decided that it was acceptable to undertake refurbishments of this scale whilst remaining open wants their head examining. I am still awaiting a response from the hotel manager as to why we weren't informed of the ongoing works either during booking or in the intervening months pending our arrival. As the final hotel on our honeymoon I would give this hotel a minus 10 if it was possible!
