This was almost an unimaginably perfect stay for my family. Beautiful classic Italian building with amazing beautiful and well-selected antique furniture, spacious shared living spaces, comfortable sofas and beds, and generous complimentary items including free access to coffee and tea, cakes, cookies, WiFi, and streaming services. They had an GREAT homemade breakfast lovingly prepared by owner. And, the views of the Montepulciano hillsides were like a magical painting. We were within a 5-minute walk to many great wineries and restaurants. The BEST stay in my 9 vacations across Italy. Would definitely come back again.

What a spectacular stay! My family chose this place as home base for our week in Tuscany and it’s literally one of the most incredible places we have ever stayed- the building has an amazing history- the rooms were beautiful and furniture stunning- lots of hot water- very clean- high quality linens etc The breakfasts prepared by the owner were over the top good- and she always lefts many cakes- desserts and snacks for my family - as well as fruit- treats and drinks - there are many restaurants in waking distance and you are right in the historic center with shops and wine tastings - all of the staff were amazing - highly highly recommend- we had the two rooms and private sitting room and it was huge and very private for our family - we will be back!

Magical place to call home in Montepulciano

Amazing place, cannot imagine a better, more magical stay for our group of 5 adults, renting out the whole house. Elena was amazing, gave us great advice for local attractions and helped us by booking dinner reservations and a wine cellar tour. Angelina was also fantastic with our morning breakfasts and other logistics of our stay. Rooms were fantastic, common rooms beautifully designed and spacious, a great blend of historical charm and modern amenities. The breakfast was simply outstanding, felt like royalty with the spread and the uniquely prepared items each of the 3 mornings we were there.

If we had to return to one place in all of Italy, we’d choose Il Tosco. It was absolutely SPECTACULAR! Elena was the most wonderful hostess, providing many recommendations, of which every one was spot on! The breakfast was out of this world - better than any place we’ve ever stayed. Kitchen was stocked with the most delicious olive oil cake and many other goodies around the living area to enjoy. Walkable to everything in Montepulciano. I could not overstate how wonderful this bed and breakfast is - RUN, don’t walk to make your reservation here. Two nights was not enough!

This place is a gem! The great reviews steered me to this booking and they were correct! The owner bakes lovely cakes and has them on offer all day through your stay. This gives a lovely feeling of welcome. Very much reminded me of my Italian relatives and I felt wonderful in our stay there. Room was comfortable, shower and bedding very good. Breakfast amazing, sit down service, at a shared table. Parking is down the hill at a lot with reserved spots. Dinner is in town and we were advised to get reservations but didn't do so; the advice was correct and most places were fully booked. We ultimately found a great one, called The Romantic, overlooking the valley behind the main plaza in the upper town. It had the best breeze, the best food, and the most engaging staff! We returned the next day. Montepulciano is a wonderful town, and this is a wonderful place to stay, and I would highly recommend and would gladly return! Our favorite of our entire visit to Tuscany.

I can’t say enough good things about this place! My husband and I went with our two teenagers and stayed in the family suite. The entire place was magical. We felt transported back in time with the antiques. The food was just incredible!! There were snacks on every surface to enjoy and fresh cakes in the kitchen when we arrived. Breakfast was over the top with everything we could ask for. The attention to detail and level of service was exceptional. We are already planning to come back!

By far best hotel I've stsyed in Ameneties were out of this world with the run of a 4000 sq ft apartment with 2 bedrooms, a ding room, full kitchen and a family room all tp our selves. Just minutes from shops and a fantastic view of the valley. The hostesses were awesome, informative and cooked us a special breakfast.
