Great value
Great location for Yosemite South Park entrance. Excellent value! Decent breakfast but no restaurant for the evening... not much in the area but You can eat at tenaya lodge.

A rural getaway close to Yosemite
I stayed here for five nights during a trip to Yosemite. It is more of a motel type of accommodation consisting of a main block and a number of remote cabins. I had one of the cabins which are perched on a steep slope so there were a number of steps down from the roadway. The cabin had a small kitchen area with fridge, microwave and table and chairs - which is very useful as there is a very limited choice of places to eat in the area. Being located in a wooded area the room was quite dark all the time but the advantage of this was that it was very quiet with no traffic noise at all. Despite its remote location WiFi worked OK if you can't be without your Internet access. I tried the breakfast one morning which was adequate. I only had cereal and toast (warmed bread!) so I can't comment on the quality of the cooked food. The restaurant also did evening meals but the night I looked in the place was empty - which was not a good sign - so I went elsewhere. There is another lodge a 5 minute drive away that did pizzas to eat in or take out - they also had a take out salad bar which ended up as my evening meals. If you are on a trip to Yosemite and can't get (afford) accommodation within the park then this is a reasonable place to stay, but if I went back to Yosemite I think I would look for somewhere else to stay.
