Be aware of the futon.
Ok this hotel is lovely and the lady who manages it is so friendly and helpful, my only issue is the futon on the floor - being a 6ft 6 westerner heavily built it was really not the best nights sleep it can also feel a bit like a squat. Breakfast very good and very close to underground.

Beautiful hidden gem
The Edo Sakura was the perfect place to spend a few days exploring Tokyo. It was beautiful, peaceful and friendly and very handy for the Hibiya line on the Metro. We can highly recommend this hidden gem of a hotel.

Very helpful staff
We loved the Edo Sakura, mainly because the staff working there were so helpful and nice. The futons were terribly uncomfortable for our Western backs, though, so we won't be back. But the shower was incredible. My husband said it was the best he's ever used. Just big enough, and with great water pressure.

Great Introduction to Japan
The warm welcome from Yoko as we stepped through the door at the Edo Sakura was much appreciated and was followed over our 4 night stay with continued excellent and friendly service. Our Japanese style room was immaculate and the operation of futons etc. very clearly explained. The optional western or Japanese style breakfasts were good value and tasty. The free tea ceremony is a nice extra. The hotel is well positioned to get to Ueno Park or Asakusa on foot and is a short walk to the metro system. Highly recommended.
