The room was clean and bed was comfortable. Furniture was worn and the room was extremely small. The room looked considerably larger in the online pictures than it actually was.

Average.
The room had been recently refurbished so it was in good shape for a hotel of this age. No problems. An average hotel good for a one night stay.

Our new place to stay in PA
At first we were nervous about the price and the garish colors on the outside, but the gentleman inside stated that they had just bought the place and were remodeling. You could see evidence that remodeling was in fact going on. Glad we stayed, because the room was everything we needed and we couldn't see wasting more money elsewhere.

It's what's on the inside that counts!
Much nicer on the inside than the outside. The beds were good, the decor was pleasant and clean, and the room was spacious. Really nice large flat-screen TV, too. The guy at the desk was pleasant and upgraded us to a deluxe room without charging extra, maybe because we were traveling with a baby and arriving latish in the evening? Anyway, it was a nice touch. No issues really at all, but the shower head was old and kind of sprayed in weird ways, and some of the doors and trim were a bit scuffed. But it's an old building, and a pretty amazing place for the money. We walked to a delicious breakfast and shopping on the waterfront.

A comfortable rooms on a busy wedding weekend.
We were there to perform a family wedding and to scout out the area for future business opportunities. Hotel staff were very pleasant and helpful. One room had an issue with a wall plug that had not been brought to their attention. They immediately placed my family in another room. And blocked the room for repair. They were very thankful that a possible fire issue was brought to their attention. We will gladly stay at the Roysl Victorian again. It will be exciting too see their continued efforts of improvement.
