Staff was friendly and accommodating. We came in very late and they made arrangements for us to get our room key quickly and without complications. The hotel is historic so it is not new but is well kept. The beach walk/ trail is fantastic with incredible views. Would recommend and would return.

We had a great stay one-night stay at the Gilleleje Badehotel just outside of the high season. Everything about the property feels premium. The room was spacious, clean and tastefully decorated. We opted to eat in the hotel dining room and the food prepared by Vik was exceptional. We’re talking perfectly seasoned and beautifully cooked European dishes with top-end restaurant presentation. The cost of the meal for two was equivalent to the board but was absolutely worth the price point. I couldn’t believe the whole service was produced by a single chef. Brits be warned there are no kettles in the rooms. Instead the hotel lays on coffee and sweet treats for guests to enjoy every afternoon. (You can get hot water from the kitchen at any time though.) The vibe at a badehotel (bathing hotel) is a cross between a BnB and a guesthouse. The average age skews slightly older but we enjoyed the more relaxed pace and communal atmosphere of the hotel. The sauna and steam room were an added bonus and the cosy lobby with log fire provided welcome respite from the rain. All the staff were really welcoming and attentive. Natalie went the extra mile to make us feel welcomed, offering great chat and plenty of advice on travel around the Danish Riviera. We would definitely come back again.

Fantastiskt fint beläget gammalt hotell som, om det hade renoverats upp, skulle kunna bli helt ljuvligt. Vi fick nog det allra bästa rummet på andra våning med balkong längst ut på hörnet så vi hade en fantastisk utsikt. Mysigt att kunna sitta på balkongen. Utsikten var även fin från det stora fönstret på toaletten men tyvärr saknades det insynsskydd så det gick ju lika bra att se in😰 Toaletten var i övrigt mycket trång och var inte renoverad på många decennier, sprucket kakel och allmänt lite sunkig. Ingen stor sak men t ex så var toaborsren avbruten. Det var väldigt trevligt att bli bjuden på eftermiddagskaffe med god rabarberpaj och middagen var fin även om fiskrätten (Hälleflundra? 🤔) lite snålt tilltagen. Det mesta av frukosten var helt slut första morgonen men fylldes på efter en stund och andra morgonen var inga problem. Om hotellet hade rustats upp rent allmänt och rummen hade utrustats med aircondition och kylskåp så hade detta hotell kunnat bli topprankat men tyvärr inte nu även om sängarna var jättesköna och utsikten som sagt magisk!

Synes Gilleleje Badehotel har tapt seg litt de siste årene. Hyggelig personale, men de virker en tanke underbemannet. Ikke håndhånkle på badet, luktet litt surt på rommet, mye flekker på teppene og generelt litt dårlig renhold på hotellet nå. Gitt en forholdsvis dyr pris mener vi hotellet har et forbedringspotensiale.

Ett badhotell utan tillgång till bad. Här verkar konferenslokaler prioriteras över hotellgäster som inte får tillgång till varken havs- eller träsgårdsutsikt från den mörka matsalen (med störande fläktoljud) eller den lilla instängda uteplatsen mellan byggnaderna. Hotellgästerna har ingen koppling till varken trädgården eller havet med panoramautsikt. Här finns inga trevliga uteplatser att slå sig ner vid och njuta av utsikten. Det enorma vilda buskaget som tar upp halva tomten får däremot först-klassig havsutsikt och ligger som en tjock vild barriär mellan hotellet och havet. Här utnyttjas verkligen inte platsens säljande koncept men det finns enorm potential. I den avskilda sovrumsavdelningen luktar det verkligen illa, förmodligen dold mögeldoft. Sovrummens badrum har heller inte fräschats upp sen 50-talet. Hela natten ljöd ett högt fläktljud som förmodligen störde i alla sovrum. Hotellets gemensamma ytor saknar också utsikt helt, men är väldigt fint inrett med klassiska möbler och designlampor. Synd bara att man inte vill hänga där. Det fina pittoreska hotellet har verkligen inte utvecklats rätt eller fått vad det förtjänar. Inte hotellgästerna heller.

Petit hôtel plein de charme avec accès direct au sentier côtier. Hamman , sauna et jacuzzi inclus si ce dernier n’est pas fermé. Décoration très agréable on s’y sent bien. Værelset var rent og godt for mig og min partner, lidt irriterende at man hele tiden kunne høre ude på gangen fordi døren på en eller anden måde var lidt utæt. Rigtigt flot og gammeldags vibe men med et godt ny renoveret værelse. De kunne godt gøre lidt mere ud af selve spa opholden da der enlig kun er en sauna og et damp bad og så en jacuzzi som man skal betale 450 kr for m. Men alt i alt meget fint

Virkeligt dejligt sted. Manglede badekåber og klipklapper på værelset. Vi fik udleveret klipklapper og ekstra håndklæder i receptionen, da vi efterspurgte det. De havde desværre ikke flere badekåber. Badeværelse på værelset var meget slidt. Middagen var skøn, men tjenerne lidt uopmærksomme. Dampbad og sauna var dejligt. Dog kunne der godt være mere fokus på koldt vand, kopper og rengøring i spa området i hele åbningstiden.

Flot sted med en følelse af den gamle badehotel ånd stadig er til stede pga bevaringen af det flotte interiør. Dejligt roligt sted, imødekommende personale, flot udsigt fra hotellet og hvis man giver sig selv at gå langs kyststien bliver man belønnet med den fineste udsigt over havet.
