Great location
Great location for exploring Bari old town. Easy 10/15 minute walk from Bari Centrale train station. Adriana on reception was very welcoming and had great suggestions for places to eat and drink. Just be aware that our room had the bed on a mezzanine with steepish stairs. Meant a tricky trip to loo during the night especially after one too many Negronis 😂 Bed was comfy and room had a fridge, small hot plate and crockery which would be handy if staying for more than a night. Simple breakfast served in morning but ideal to set us up for a day of eating and wandering. We’ll be back.

Excellent hotel situated perfectly in Bari Vecchio
Palazzo Caló is fantastic. It is situated on the perfect place for exploring Bari Vecchio. The hotel is situated in a wonderful historic building but has been modernly upgraded for a very comfortable stay. We were greeted warmly and the staff is very nice. We would stay there again.

Perfectly charming hotel right in the middle of the historic district. The room was spacious and clean. The loft style room made it feel like an apartment. The continental breakfast was pleasant and enough for the perfect start of the day. The young woman at the front desk was brilliant. She helped with finding a local car hire and was super helpful in coordinating our travel over to Milan. We had originally planned a train journey, but she quickly told us that the bus was direct, faster and cheaper. Her love for her region of Italy was apparent! Her suggestions for which towns we should visit as we traipsed around in our rental car were perfect. Don't hesitate to stay here - it is super!

Short on Amenities
We arrived in Bari on a Sunday afternoon. We had directions to the hotel which was in the old town and found the small entrance door. We had been sent a key code for what was really a self check-in apartment on a Sunday. Our room had lofted bedroom, steep stairs, would be difficult for anyone with walking issues, bathroom on lower level, not where the bedroom is. Bed wasn't very comfortable. There was a small kitchenette with very poor lighting, could hardly see to use kettle or coffee maker. There were no lights near the couch. It was hard to sit there and read. We couldn't believe that only two devices permitted on WiFi. Breakfast the following morning was fine and the hotel seems to be staffed during the week. We noted that they had very expensive secure doors which is good but couple more lights and an eye to guest comfort would be welcome.

Wonderful place, wonderful people
Just an overnight stay before our cruise. Despite of flight delays, changes in our schedules the hotel staff was more than accommodating. Quiet, very secure place in the middle of town. Highly recommend it!
