Book this one!
Awesome place to stay! Great price, great room, friendly staff and southern hospitality. Close enough to everything in the French Quarter but even though only a block away from Bourbon St, so quiet when you wanted to sleep, even in the ground floor room!

Poor 2.0
Great hotel but room 208 had bed bugs
If I were leaving this review on just the cuteness of the hotel it would be pretty positive. Our room was nicely set up. It had a separate living room and full kitchen, stocked with free bottled water. The night lobby staff is very pleasant and they had pink lemonade, king cake slices, and coffee and tea available in the lobby at all times! The room is accessed from outside and we had to walk up and down and up again several steps (there is no elevator as it's a very old building). This isn't so bad except the steps get slick with the humidity, so just be aware. Unfortunately our entire stay was ruined by the discovery of bed bugs on the 2nd night of our one week stay. My husband had about 20 bites on his arms and legs. I had about 15 bites. We found adult bed bugs and babies so it was definitely not a new problem. They did fully refund us including the 2 nights we stayed, and we moved to a new hotel. That said when we checked out it seemed like maybe they already knew the room had bedbugs and it really didn't seem like they were going to do anything about it. Housekeeping never came between day one and day two, so that could be part of the problem. Also when you look at the bed frame between the mattress and the foot board you could see tons of dust so clearly they are not vacuuming the mattress and frame. The hotel is cozy, cute, and in a great location. If they resolve the bed bug problem it would be great. We will not be back however.

Good 6.0
Good stay but uncomfortable..
Served coffee, tea and king cake on first floor Staff was nice and helpful We woke up to loud drainage system early in the morning. It seemed broken and it seemed louder than the actual rain Also there should be curtains in the room, not just blinds. It made my wife uncomfortable

Exceeded our expectations !!
The property and room exceeded our expectations! Everything was absolutely beautiful and spacious. We were so delighted to find we had a private balcony and even more delighted to find there was a hot tub in addition to the pool. The grounds were beautiful in general. And Mr. Champagne (what a great name!!) and his other employees were very friendly and accommodating of our needs. On top of all of that, the location was absolutely superb. We were blown away and will definitely be staying here again :)

Suite Life in the French Quarter
We had a restful time here over the holidays. This hotel is in a very convenient location to the French Quarter while not being too loud. (If you're a light sleeper there can be some street noise, so come prepared - or better yet, probably don't stay in the Quarter.) Staff are all very friendly - retirees for the most part. As others have noted, there isn't "breakfast" per se, but slices of store-bought cake are available as a snack 24/7, as well as coffee and lemonade. Furnished with antiques (pro/con depending on if that's your thing) and the kitchen is a bonus if you plan on cooking at all.

In the French Quarter but a quiet peaceful hotel.
