Great location and reasonably priced for Paris
Modern, clean hotel. Room was compact but perfectly comfortable, though couldn’t get the aircon to work in the night so got a little hot

V good, but with caveats
A stylish, affordable hotel in a great location. I was happy with my room, which was chic, well-presented and well-appointed. However, as others have said in reviews, a huge improvement would have been the provision of a kettle in the room - increasingly, that's a deal-breaker for me when I'm travelling on business! A small thing, but it makes life so much easier. I was also not terribly impressed with the service. Mine was just a one-night stay, and when I checked in, the service was OK, but not exactly warm or welcoming. Likewise, when I checked out, the lady at the desk was completely perfunctory: She didn't ask me if I'd enjoyed my stay, or if everything was fine. Didn't check if I wanted my luggage stored. Didn't ask if I needed a taxi. Didn't say 'Thanks for staying with us'. Nothing - just taking my final payment and printing out the receipt. Again, this wasn't hostile or outright rude, but it didn't especially encourage me to stay here again. (I moved to another hotel for the next three nights of my stay in Paris - which I'd arranged in advance - and was absolutely blown away by the warmth and friendliness at my next hotel. This made it even clearer that Grand Hotel Malher has room for improvement in this respect.)

The hotel is in a great location and the hotel and room was very clean and comfortable. The front desk attendant was less than friendly and helpful. Checking in and out seemed to be an invoice to him. The gentleman working the night shift however was as nice as could be.

Lovely hotel.
It is a typical French hotel made out of 2 houses together I think. I was on 4th floor of 7. They were friendly . It is a lovely position. The room was small but functional and I wasn't expecting large with this style of Parisian hotel. It is a great position in Marais.

Good stay.
The location of the hotel is great. I have to admit I didn’t stay at the hotel all that much as the area is my favourite part of Paris. The room was comfortable, though the bed was just next to the entrance so the little noise in the corridor was little more obvious. Have to say the hotel was quiet. The room was clean, the bathroom paintwork was little tired. I only realised the room temperature was set quite low and only turned it up in the morning.
