Not downtown but very good
Had a great stay, friendly staff, Ok rooms although the the building we stayed in was pretty worn out but for sleeping it was still good and I would most likely stay here next time too.

Ok for the price
As a hostel it is fine. You get What you pay for. It would have fine to know that towels were not included.

Tiny rooms intended for backpackers
This is a hotel for young, single backpackers. Do not stay here if you want to have a relaxing, romantic stay with a partner. The place is well-kept and clean—it just didn't particularly suit my tastes. The rooms were tiny, offering no walking room whatsoever. My husband and I are convinced this is a converted hospital, because of the size of the rooms and the heavy doors that swing and slam shut when you open them. Location is very good, and it's perfect for a quick stopover on your way to visit other parts of Banff. Service was also very nice.

Solo Stay in Banff
The location is a little above the main downtown area, but the hostel offered a free bus pass with a $5 deposit. That made getting around town very easy and convenient. The room was good, but it got a bit warm the night I stayed since it didn't have air conditioning. Otherwise, it was a great stay, and I would stay again.

Great stay in a hot room
Everything was great. Location is a bit further out but really close to tunnel mountain. I had a car so didn't have to deal with waiting on the bus. Went in July and the room was really hot making it hard to sleep. There was no net/screen for the windows so we couldn't open them (mosquitoes will eat you alive). Got a fan but wasn't really enough... Slept ok but really enjoyed the breakfast and walks from the place along with the overall vibe.
