Exceptional 10.0
Not the hotels fault but parking in-season can be problematical; not so much out of season. We parked outside the wall for about 7€ overnight. We like the hotel; everything you need is central; the girls on reception are most helpful. We haven't tried their eatery yet as we tend to eat out.

Nice time St. Malo
All in all we enjoyed our time in St. Malo. We stayed in one of the 'old' rooms and it was no problem. Not used the restaurant or breakfast. Service on the terrace slow. Dinner at Absinthe restaurant, which can be recommended. Hotel arranged parking in the underground carpark, which worked well.

Old hotel Intra Muros
Check in was OK but even though we had booked a superior room we were given a disabled room. Except that it wasn’t really. There was no heated towel rail or seat in the shower wet room. The hand rail was so far over that it wouldn’t lift up because of the sink and the toilet paper was also tucked away under the sink. The door to the room was some weird thing which opened and closed electrically, so when you exited the room you had to wait 30 seconds to a minute to make sure that the door was going to close. The curtains had a sort of electric opener and closing system, which was broken and disconnected so the last 20-30cms of the curtain sagged down. You can’t check in until 5 which is very late. However on 1 day the weather was bad and so although we left the room at10am and didn’t arrive back until 3:30 pm our room still hadn’t been serviced. In fact they knocked on the door at 5pm to service it. They do a good breakfast and the food at dinner was good although the service was a little indifferent.
