Hotel Classico in the heart of Cambridge
We stayed one night at this beautiful, very classic hotel, perfect location for exploring downtown Cambridge. Parking at the hotel was cheap compared to other hotels. They gave us the option to leave our car in their parking lot once we had checked out. The continental breakfast was good ham and bread.

The room was comfortable. The service team at breakfast were not great at their job but the food was nice.

Lovely and good value.
Lovely and good value. I had a single room with en suite, both very small but adequate, and a lovely view over the river and park. Easy regular bus into centre of you don't want to walk.

The (twin double) room on the third floor had a lovely view across the river and Jesus Green beyond. Decor in good condition but, as photos show, dated in style.

Everything was easy and converted for a stay in Cambridge. The onsite parking is expensive if you've not booked direct.
Was very quiet in January!

Average place but amazing location
Chose the hotel for location and car parking - brilliant access to Cambridge centre. Everything very dated in terms of decor and upkeep but service was good and staff friendly and helpful. Super continental breakfast included in room rate. Car parking £18 overnight until 11am next day. If you book direct with the hotel, car parking is free. We stayed in the Club King room in an annexe behind the hotel. Room was very well appointed, comfortable bed and tea/coffee making facilities but it was cold on arrival. However, reception provided a heater which was fine until the heating came on at 5.30pm. Overall, a tired hotel but good for an overnight stay within easy walking to centre of town.

Disappointed
We have stayed here before and been happy but we were in the main building. This time we found ourselves in the annex which was small and rather cramped. The room was poorly lit with only table lamps, no overhead light. Despite the booking being the same price and not mentioning the annex it's was no where near as nice as the main building.

Good overall, as always
I stay in this hotel regularly and I am always fully satisfied. The staff are very helpful and polite. There are only two specific pieces of feedback that I would like to provide (and I often provide these to other hotels). (1) I would be much happier if a bottle of water was supplied in the room for each night of the stay. (2) In my view, showers should always be fitted with a soap tray, for the benefit of guests who use their own soap and shampoo.
