Brighton Hotel Hong Kong
Little Gem in a buzzing area
This hotel was a lovely boutique type hotel with 27 floors and 4 rooms on each floor. The standard rooms are quite small but have a good shower room and all the amenities that you require. It is in a buzzing area of Wan Chai in the Lockhart Road with the MTR metro underneath but the hotel is extremely quiet unless you get a noisy family sharing two rooms on our floor but that could happen anywhere but it did mar the Hong Kong trip a bit. The desk spoke to security and the Chinese family was spoken to. We had a problem with one of our cases on our check out day where the zip had parted from the case and we were panic stricken as we had been away a month and this was the day we were finally returning home. A male member of reception manage to find another case for us to transfer all our belongings from the ripped one to this replacement one. You do not get that sort of free service everywhere do you. We were overjoyed to say the least. Thank you Brighton Hotel staff.

Great hotel as airport stop over or business trip
Great hotel, great price on Secret Prices. Just a few meters from exit C of the MTR station. Lift at ground floor to reception on 3rd floor. Staff very helpful. Room clean and quiet. I've stayed on Hong Kong more than a dozen times and would rebook this hotel if it was available.

Nice Hotel in a great Location, good size & value
As far as Locations go it's awesome for virtually everything. A couple of doors away from the entrance to the MTR Island Line. One station and change to go to the Kowloon side which is where you can find the hustle and bustle. I booked a junior suite and it was very spacious, sofa, desk. The room had enough space to have a small table and couple of chairs so that you could grab a bite to eat and sit down together, as it was there was no place for two people to sit and eat. Plenty of bottled water provided every day but only on two days were the coffee pods replaced. The hotel is located on a street that has several English bars and a few questionable looking clubs but I never got hassled. Couple of tips... Hong Kong is no longer cheap and virtually everything we looked at could have been bought in England cheaper so if you want a real designer handbag, etc check the price before you go. Exchange rates vary greatly from the bureaus so shop around and make sure you have plenty of cash with you. Hardly anywhere accepts credit cards! Buy an octopus card, load it up with cash and you can use this to pay for goods in many shops. Don't just stay in the main tourist areas, venture further afield to the New Territories and experience real Hong Kong life and the immense residential tower blocks, Sha Tin maybe.

The hotel was modern clean and friendly the location was great. The room was medium sized but considered large for Hong Kong. Plenty of night life and restaurants around. situated next to the MTR on the Island line with easy access to central.
