Friendly staff
It's a bit remote but the lovely staff and great scenary totally made up of it. Didn't spent too much time there, as we arrived quite late, got lost on the way there but the friendly staff waited and guided us to the correct location so we highly recommend if you are up for a nice pub and friendly people to hang out with.

Very accommodating and welcoming.
Very accommodating and welcoming staff. We arrived early due to our friend's wedding taking place mid-day, lovely lady (I assume landlady) let us check-in much earlier than the 5pm check-in time. Nothing was too much for the staff and they serve some hearty pub food. Breakfast closes early on Sunday due to roast prep, so get there quick! It is in the middle of nowhere but there are plenty of taxi services available, the venue itself has parking also. Beds were very comfy and bedrooms cool in this hot weather. Decor is old farmhouse with lots of character. Would definately recommend for a pub lunch or even a stop over for a couple of nights like we did.

The room we had was damp and the smell of the damp was overpowering so much so we left early in the morning without staying for breakfast

Mixed visit
Unfortunately every thing was having a refit, so no hot food, only scrambled eggs possible for breakfast after cereals etc. The hosts are new to the pub and were really friendly and tried to please. Would go back next year to see how it has all turned out.
